Bellevue's loss tonight puts them at 11-12. After a promising start, they lost their last 4 and finished 11-12. Under .500 for the 9th straight year. I'd think that streak ends next year. They bring back a really talented core. How long has your current coach been there? Coach Rich completed his 7th season with an overall record of 54-104

Being realistic I doubt anyone would deny Bellevue put more talent on the floor than Norwalk last night. Also being real, I doubt (or would find it rare) that anyone could say Bellevue has outcoached any other team in the last 9 years.

Sometimes a junior can be more talented but a senior will make a play in a needed moment. I know that Bellevue plays to sophomores a lot that have good potential but also play like sophs at times.

I do agree with your sophomore assessment but the record over the years speaks for itself. Actually watching the games speaks even greater.

Mark Shine isn't walking through the Bellevue doors, nor is Lyle Falknor.
My best Rick Pitino rant regarding Celtics

Bellevue has made some great improvements, the last two year they had 4 and 5 wins, so 11 wins this year is a step in the right direction. Some of thier big wins this year Clyde, Willard, Upper, and Port Clinton. They lost many close games if the ball bounces the right way they could of had 13-15 wins. They do return 4 starters and their JV team went 15-7.

I think I can see what you are trying to say, but being up 8 with over a minute to go in the third quarter it was not the coach that left Norwalk's best player open for a 3. He also did not give up an offensive rebound off a Norwalk free-throw which resulted in another open 3 point bucket and 2 turnovers during that time which were all major reasons why the score was tied after three quarters.

From what I understand, the talent pool has been pretty shallow for a few years. That improved a lot this year and so did their record. Ruhlman was a stud but missed so many games due to injury. Would like to know their record when he played. They have expectations next year. Will be interesting to see how that goes. Need offense.

dude, actually Lyle does still walk through the doors. Problem is that he takes a seat in the stands.

Mark Shine isn't walking through the Bellevue doors, nor is Lyle Falknor. My best Rick Pitino rant regarding Celtics Mark Shine calls games for one of the Lima area Christian TV stations and seems pretty content to do so. He's a good announcer/color man, knows when to keep his mouth shut and explains strategy in a way fans can understand. I suspect that the Bellevue/Willard wars convinced him to move back home and try to resurrect the Bath program but some things just aren't meant to happen. They ran out of 6'11" Jim Andrews types the day Jim graduated and took his 36 ppg and 22 rpg to Lexington, Kentucky.

I believe we knew what I meant about Falknor going through Bellevue doors. But, to be fair, Redmen downfall began the latter stages he being Head Coach. Sometimes, you don't have the jimmy and joe types
