Defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 34-31 today, to clinch the AFC North Division Championship.
The Joe Burrow era is only beginnng and the future of the Cincinnati Bengals is very bright. Featuring a 4,000+ yd. passer, a 1,000+ RB and two 1,000+ yd. receivers, this is only the beginning of a long and promising evolution of excellence.

Just wait till they get upgrades on the offensive line. I love being a fan of this team and it’s not like the old days when they folded or quit at any moment. Some of those free agent pick ups on defense have really paid off especially Hendrickson IMO. I know KC was thin on their Oline also but the Bengals just never gave up even when they got down 14-0 right away. I hope this ride continues for a long time. I wouldn’t even be upset if Taylor sat some of the starters next week. I’d almost rather have the 4th seed to be honest.

Last season still lingers in my memory bank, with an offensive line that ultimately put the kabosh to Burrow's season. Quite a turnaround, as this year the OL has given JB time in the pocket to do his magic. Hendrickson is a beast and I think the Bengal defense picked up from his leadership. Jamaar Chase has put himself in another category of WR. Week after week, his circus catches leave you shaking your head and a grin on your face.

WHO DEY. May not have been pretty and I wish it didn’t have to come down to the last play but it’s about surviving at this time of year.

Bengals are looking like they will play Titans next barring a Steelers miracle. I like the Bengals chances against them.

Despite losing several key defensive players to injuries in the first half, the defense held up when they needed to, in the waning moments of the game. When both edge rushers Hendrickson and Hubbard went out and a starting defensive tackle (can't think of his name), Carr had more time to throw.

The spectacular TD throw by Joe Burrow to Tyler Boyd, where Burrow released it before stepping out of bounds, had members of the media screaming there was an inadvertent whistle. Well, the game officials released a post game statement stating the whistle in question did not come from a game official and even if it had, the whistle in question was heard after the catch had been completed. Nice try by the media to nullify what was one of the great plays of this young, post season.

An interesting note, that was brought out during the game: The Bengals were the NFL's least penalized team, during the regular season. This bodes well for coach Zach Taylor and his young team, going forward.

The Bengals are playing with great poise and confidence on both sides of the ball. They know they belong here and know, with the right breaks, they can be playing for a Super Bowl Crown.

Just think this is a young team Cincinnati has too. It really does seem like the culture and mindset in Cincinnati is finally changing. This team believes and plays together. When yesterday’s game came down to the game winning field goal they said McPherson made the comment of “looks like we are going to the AFC title game” before he made the kick. While a lot of teams will have many question marks this off-season, the Bengals just need to upgrade the offensive line.

While a lot of teams will have many question marks this off-season, the Bengals just need to upgrade the offensive line. The horrifying fact is, the OL is improved from last season, but still prone to allowing JB to be battered weekly. Think about it, he absorbs 9 sacks and he still tosses for 348 yards and only one tipped interception. When the Bengals go to free agency and the draft to protect Burrow, he is going to be scary good. Any other team would be instructing their QB to flip the ball away to avoid a sack, but that never happens with JB, which leads me to believe he is instructed not to, to eliminate potential INT's, a crazy thought, but appears that way.

Just two games from the end of the season (Jan. 2nd), these two teams bumped heads. Joe Burrow and J'marr Chase dissected and shredded the KC defense. Defensively, the Bengals kept their opponent out of the endzone 2nd half and they held Chiefs to a mere 4th quarter field goal.
Watching Joe Burrow go down with 9 sacks vs. Tennessee, some are expecting a repeat. Granted, KC sacked Burrow 4 times a few weeks ago, I'll expect perhaps 3 or 4 sacks tops in this repeat.
Passing Yards KC P. Mahomes 26-35, 259 YDS, 2 TD CIN J. Burrow 30-39, 446 YDS, 4 TD
Rushing Yards KC D. Williams 14 CAR, 88 YDS, 2 TD CIN J. Mixon 12 CAR, 46 YDS
Receiving Yards KC M. Hardman 1 REC, 53 YDS CIN J. Chase 11 REC, 266 YDS, 3 TD

Hell of a game today, congrats Cincinnati.
As soon as that PI gave KC 1st and goal with 9 seconds left before half with no timeouts left I had a hunch it was going give the Bengals a chance to get out of there with no points scored if KC got too TD or bust aggressive. That turned out to be true, and it was a huge shot of momentum going into halftime.

WHO DEY. Super bowl bound. LA here comes Cincinnati. That team just never quit even when being down 18. Not only did Burrow put all his throws on the money but Mixon really turned it up at the end. Already have my gear ordered. Go Bengals

The big untold story of this years Bengals emergence, is the defense. The Chiefs and Mahones is an offense nobody shuts down, except the Bengal defense, who did not allow a touchdown in 8 quarters of second half play + one O.T. Pretty remarkable, when you think about it. To do what Cincinnati did today in loud Arrowhead Stadium, says a lot about Joe Burrow and that poised offense. They are going to need more of the same against the Rams in their home stadium.....how in the hell did that happen?

Obviously, I want the Rams to win, but I admire this Bengals squad; even despite their fair-at-best OL, they show grit and make plays when it counts
