And TCU would "compete better"? Check what Vogel has. don't know they would any better as well. I would have been fine Bama over TCU

I think OSU v GA and AL v MI are the most interesting 1st round matchups. GA might be favored by 3 touchdowns over OSU but with the Buckeye offense you never know. I think AL would be favored by less than a touchdown over MI. GA might be favored by less than 2 touchdowns over AL but who wants to watch an OSU v MI rematch. If the committee goes GA v OSU and MI v TCU then we'll probably have 2 blowouts (snooze). 3 touchdowns? Georgia is -7. I'm surprised.

The greatest nugget from Ryan Day "I'm pass happy and think it's always going to be 75 and sunny in November so instead of fixing the run game in September I like to try to throw for 600 yards a game in September. By doing that the run game will be non-existent vs good teams in November when it's cold and snowy out, by becoming one dimensional I help Michigan and make the OSU/Michigan rivalry more competitive. Why beat Michigan every time like Tressel and Urban, it's more fun to lose like Cooper did. That's exciting." Ryan Day never said any such thing.....sorry.

Michigan fans crying about Ohio State in the playoffs is just pathetic, you already beat us by 20 at home, why you scared to potentially play us again? If USC would’ve lost by 10 points or less I would have seen an argument not to punish, but they lost by 23 points to a 3 loss team. If OSU wants a rematch they need to earn the right to it imo. Georgia had to earn it last year in the semi’s. Doesn’t sit right that OSU could get run out the shoe by Michigan then back into a rematch while sitting on the couch. Well, you are so correct. Defeating Georgia, they will have earned their rematch.

The Ohio State haters have fully exposed themselves, which means absolutely nothing, in the grand scheme of things....lol People of their ilk, were sounding off the same rhetoric in 2014, that the Buckeyes didn't belong.

JSN will NOT play in the Peach Bowl against Georgia Ohio st has announced This should come as no surprise. After he unseated Olave as the prime target last season it was likely that he would declare for the draft after this season whether he played the whole year or not. I wish him luck. As we've often seen in the past you must be ready for guys to leave early if you are getting top-shelf talent. Now if only the defensive backfield had that problem like in the past.

The defensive backfield is not lacking for quality talent, but seriously lacking from game experience. Much like OL, the position requires an elongated period of development. Injuries have been a major determining factor in the slow progress of the unit.

When you’re an elite football program like Ohio State, you get more than one shot, who else should’ve been in their spot? Alabama They would compete better Says you.............whoopee!

Says a lot about Nick Saban being 71 and getting his hair dyed every week.

I Became a Nick Saban fan his first and only season coaching the Toledo Rockets.
As I sat in the Glass Bowl in 1990, I remember commenting to my buddy, there's no way Toledo will keep this guy, he's going to be a bigtime college coach in the near future. Nick led the Rockets to a 9-2 record and Co-Champions of the MAC.
It didn't take a genius to make that conclusion and I'm far from being a genius.....lol

Any truth to the rumors that OSU made some NIL promises they don’t have the cash to pay for? I know Gene was begging for money from fan’s recently so maybe some level of truth?

Never waste your time on 'rumors', because more often than not, they are just that....rumors. Besides that, I would never want to be accused of being a gossip monger....lol

A lot of disappointments in losing out on some major prospects that had OSU in their final two, along with the decommitments. Can't be too disappointed though, still the 5th best recruiting class in the country and the best recruiting class in the Big Ten. Michigan had a really disappointing recruiting effort, especially with their recent successes on the field to end up with the 20th ranked recruiting class. They countered that with a strong effort in the transfer portal.
My feelings are, delving into and relying on the transfer portal, may have short term benefits, but may prove to be a negative for the program, long term. This easily could create disenchantment within the ranks of the traditional recruited players and get them into the transfer portal mindset. If I'm an athlete that has worked my butt off in the weight room, on the practice field and in the classroom, with hopes and prospects of moving up on the depth chart and perhaps earning significant PT, only to have a transfer player plugged in ahead of me, I'm not going to be a very happy camper. Consequently, coaches are being very carefull how they operate in this new format, especially the elite programs. It's a fine balance of positives vs. negatives, with long term consequences. As if their wasn't enough on their minds to begin with.

Sometimes it's good for a player to become "disenchanted". It could encourage those that were never going to make it to enter The Portal and free up a scholarship.

That's very true, especially if he is going to be relegated to back up to the back ups. However, sometimes a player that is progressing on course, with the developmental process, doesn't understand that their day is coming and unfortunately, with young players, impatience rules the day.

As if their wasn't enough on their minds to begin with. I don’t think the long term plan is to take this many transfers. Michigans class got wrecked by Harbaugh’s NFL fiasco and NIl. Michigan had zero clue what to do about NIL and it cost them big time. It seems that Michigan made strides recently in figuring NIL out but we will see.
