As you are pumping the $5 a gallon into your vehicle, ask yourself how this administrations 'Green, New Deal' policies are working out for you. Bidens only response is draining down our emergency oil reserves at a reportedly, million gallons a day. This is not the intended purpose of our national oil reserve. We need to get back to energy independence, enjoyed under the previous administration and get America back on the right track again!

We need to get back to energy independence, enjoyed under the previous administration and get America back on the right track again! Well, not exactly his only response. It was announced a day ago that he is going to Saudi Arabia (with hat in hand) to beg them to produce more oil which will increase supply and thereby lower prices (basic econ 101 stuff). This is the same Saudi Arabia Kingdom that in 2019 Biden said he would stop selling arms to, and make them an international pariah, for assassinating a reporter. He would rather do this than reverse his anti U.S. oil production policies that he implemented on day one of his administration. He would rather make deals with Saudi Kings, and dictators in Iran and Venezuela, than do what is best for American workers, economy, and national security.

Maybe he can beg Germany for more baby formula on the same trip? You can only shake your head at this Administration.

You have no one to blame for gas prices but the left and Democrats party lead by the *** whole himself, Obama, Biden don't ever know what day it is!!! They just want to make us a third would county. Coal is still cheapest power we have and does not pollute the air like Obama said! If the election wasn't stolen by voter fraud, none of this would be going on, high gas prices and everything else. Putin wouldn't be doing what he is now if Trump was still president!! And to all them driving a Ford pickup with 2nd amendment sticker on bumper and rifle hanging in rear window, I will be on your side!!! Oh I forgot mullet haircut!! Forgot also, screw their climate change!!! They want to make us into a third would county? Could you someone give me directions to where exactly third would county is. According to the United Nations the poorest country in the world is Niger. It has an average yearly income of $906, a life expectancy of 60.4 years and a mean schooling of 2 years. In terms of GDP, it would be Burundi at $264. Those used to be called "third world countries", that term is now considered offensive. Thus the "directions'' would be, for the most part, head for Africa. BTW, the US GDP is $21 Trillion.

Biden is their empty vessel, who's average at reading a teleprompter and rarely holds a press conference for obvious reasons. Why do you think none his staff has been fired or left?

I travel the midwest a lot. Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin now well into the $5 range. We are looking at $6 by July 4th weekend. Fitchville here in our area is $4.99 9/10 a gallon.

More importantly, almost all are graduates of far left liberal Ivy League schools that they got into only because a family member is a billionaire, politician or a donating graduate. That's what perpetuates the swamp.

out of curiosity, does anyone know about what percentage of oil cost is based on global markets?
|
|
|
Post by Willard Fillmore on Jun 5, 2022 18:47:26 GMT -5
It is based solely on commodity market prices, which is based on supply and demand. There are countries run by dictators and kings that are a part of OPEC that purposely increase and decrease oil production in their countries to affect demand. Like King Biden did in the US with executive orders on his first day in office. Decreasing oil production in the US, which affects demand, helping drive up the price of oil and gasoline.
On 5-1-2020 oil was $25/barrel, on 6-1-2022 it was $115/barrel
On 5-1-2020 Gas was $1.80/gallon. Last week it was $5.00/gallon in Mansfield. Who was President in those years?
We could have made a fortune in oil futures.

They had no idea what would transpire, when they ordered the plant in Michigan closed. Any sane thinking people, would set-up corrective action and get them back into production. One thing you can give them credit for, they are consistent......consistently wrong!

If Biden (or his handlers) were really concerned about the effect of fossil fuels, climate change, inflation, or the cost of gas on the average American family, he would set an example and use his phone and pen to order everyone in his administration to quit using the biggest gas guzzling SUV's and limo's they can, to tool around D.C. and the other venues of the Federal government. All would be required to use a Chevy Volt type, or similar compact electric car. Being advocates of a cleaner, greener environment, all of the Liberal Left Socialists would volunteer to do the same. Of course, that will never happen. That's not really what they care about, or the agenda of the policies they promote. Hey Elon, better add the above to the list of things you will never see!

So some of the Dems have been looking at the polls, and have told Joe that he needs to do something to give Americans an illusion of economic relief at the gas pump. Whoever tells him what his policy is, has said it would be a good idea to start a federal gas tax holiday. 18 cents per gallon, for three months. That equals $2.88 per tank on an average size (16 gal.) fill up. That's nice, but I'd rather have the $2.00+ plus per gallon ($32.00+ per tank) that gas has gone up since, and because of, the energy and economic policies put in place on day one of Joe's administration.
Reducing the gas tax might actually increase the actual price of gas in the near future. Doing that does nothing to increase the supply of gas. The law of supply and demand says that when you reduce the cost of something, demand for it will go up. If you don't increase the supply, the price will then go up. The very definition of inflation. And that doesn't even consider the damage to our roads and cars because of the lost tax money to repair the roads.
From Biden's energy policies from day one of his administration, it's clear that Biden's controllers do not understand basic economics. No company, no matter what the product is, is going to increase production or invest in the future, when the stated promise by the government's leader is "TO END" the companies product.
Unless??.........unless they really do understand, and the results of their policies is their real plan!

I thought Biden said he was going to raise taxes?
I took the family to the outer banks last week. THE single biggest take away from the trip? Gas in WV, VA and NC averaged around $4.50/gallon. If not for states like those the average price of gasoline in the country would be at least $5.50 per

I gassed up in Perry, Georgia the other day at $4.19 gallon. Paid $4.39 in Tennessee. The five states between Ohio & Florida, Ohio was easily the most painful at the pump.

Aaaah hell, come to Michigan. We are anywhere from $4.81 to $5.19 in the SE corner counties (Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne.) Our governor, rather than removing the state sales tax or fuel tax, would rather b**** about it and push the blame towards the federal government and wants them to remove their fuel tax. She is the same numb nut who ran on a "Fix the damn roads" agenda, but didn't give two poops about it until it was re-election time (so we have had projects going full blast for the past few months, but had little to nothing prior.) Earlier in her term, as she was realizing she better deliver on the "fix the damn roads" promise, she tried to jack up the fuel tax by 45 cents a gallon to fund it, although there was no mention of new taxes to pay for it during the campaign. Her constituents blew a left testicle and she backed off... Add to this some of her other political flukes and hopefully she is outta here next election. During the height of COVID, and a state travel lockdown, she sent her husband north to the Traverse City area, to get their boat out of drydock and to get it ready for the summer... You should have heard the constituents go off on that one, once the local folks found out what he was up to. At one point, we thought Biden was going to take her as his running mate, but I think one of the Democratic higher ups realized she was a bigger liability than her femaleness was worth (yes-I'm saying her political value was her gender.) Sorry, I am rambling on, but there are days that she or one of her staff gets on the news and all I can do is shake my head and try to protect my wallet.
