If Sandusky plays like last Friday I see one maybe 2 more losses the rest of the year and this isn’t one.

I seem to remember the wheels falling off the wagon last year right around now. The Streaks have a meat grinder of a schedule weeks 3-6. At 0-3 I don’t think Padua is anywhere near the football team they were last year, but don’t be surprised if the young Streaks struggle to rebuild the momentum they had the first couple weeks.

I think the Streaks had a good performance against Ross even though it ended up in a loss. Streaks will rebound and get the W this week.

bigwill,i agree that sandusky is young but padua has played 3 good teams, holy name close loss. lost to a powerful youngstown ursuline 51-6 and lost to 2-1 north royalton. i wont be surprised if padua wins, especially if its a close game.plus down the line they have 3-0 salem, dont know how good this eastern ohio team, first 3 games salems opponents 0-3,1-2,1-2 salem plays canton cc this week and plays at padua in 2 weeks.so if padua beats sandusky this week and beat salem(3-0) next week and close to the end they play walsh jesuit and they play a tough schedule, then i see them make the playoffs.sandusky must play their best game to beat them.

I’ll give the Ursuline loss as they are a pretty good team. Holy Name and North Royalton are just average teams and will have about 5 wins each this season. To me those aren’t good losses. I think if Sandusky plays their game and doesn’t get sloppy with the ball, they will be just fine.

Streaks have been a surprise so far this year. I think they get a win this week to avenge that tough 1 point loss from last year.

Streaks lose, not ready to play Sandusky is playing pretty well against a team loaded with seniors that’s bigger and stronger. The refs haven’t done them any favors either. I’m actually pretty impressed with the young steaks.

Streaks lose, not ready to play I thought you were hinting that was something going on with the players, And Sandusky had to Forfeit the game.

Evidently, Streaks had a punt blocked deep in their territory with a minute left setting up shop for Padua to work with. Tough way to lose

I hinted at this earlier in the week… Streaks have a tough schedule for the next few weeks. After last night things could get ugly. I took off work to watch this game after all the good things I heard from them playing Ross. Offense looked sluggish at times, but had flashes of real promise (they did score 35 after all). Defense looked more bad than good. Special teams looked great… until they missed a go ahead PAT and gave up a blocked punt at the very end. Overall, even with all this new coach hype, I don’t see them going any better than 4-6… if they’re lucky enough to beat Clyde.

Most of Sandusky’s problems are directly related to playing mostly sophomores. They’ll take some lumps this year but the next couple years should be very good.

Of course having a young team doesn’t help, my point was this season smells a lot like last season. Who knows if they’ll be able to keep it together enough to beat a team like Clyde or Bellevue that late in the season. Especially after taking four lumps in a row weeks 3-6.
