From here on out, they need to keep the pedal to the metal. In spite of denials to the contrary, most people, the pollsters and most importantly, the CFP committee will be comparing scores. Could be the difference between a top seed or a 3rd seed, when it's all said and done. Everyone has the 41-17 M/PSU game embedded in their brain and will be using it as a barometer of just how good the Buckeyes are.

Buckeye should as safely as possible put up as many points as possible. 2.) proving to the committee they are the 1-2 team is imperative! 3.) Penn State, Iowa, and TTUN, regardless of their records need to be all out dump feats and crush them. As of today my 4 in CFP are…. 1.) Georgia 2.) Ohio State 3.) Clemson 4.) Alabama

This year, Syracuse has one of the top scoring defenses in the country. If they can continue with their strong running game, Dabo may not be too happy after this one.

Nine points scored is the magic number OSU needs to win this game. Iowa’s offense is just flat out embarrassing.

Just know where Cooper Dejean is. I don't want to inflate Iowa's chances but they are capable of playing good pass defense. Of the 88 points they've scored 24 of them came after turnovers.

The Buckeyes want to meet the eye test as the #1 team in college football, for this game and every game, going forward. They want to blow Michigans 27-14 result, right out of the stadium. Like I said before, every single comparison will be under scrutiny by poll voters and the CFP committee.

It doesn’t matter how many points OSU scores if they don’t beat Michigan and win the B1G they’ll sit home. The same exact thing applies to Michigan in their pursuit of a Playoff birth. Also be prepared to need a significant margin of victory to get any credit compared to Michigan. The media places a higher value to beating Iowa at Kinnick than beating on the road.

At this point in the season and moving forward, style points are important. At the forefront of 'style points' are your 'Heisman moments'. We saw a lot of that from Tennessee this past Saturday.
Don't think Kinnick Stadium is one of the more feared venues. Don't think there will be much factoring in of the variables, just the 27-14 score vs. what happens this Saturday. The view of the game, gets quite simplistic at times. We saw the overeaction by the pollsters in moving Tennessee ahead of Michigan, that I disagreed with.

Do "style points" matter to THE committee?
Would they use them to put 3 SEC teams with 1 loss into the playoffs?

Heisman moments and style points are for those who believe that the AP poll matters for anything at all. At the end of the day your either going to win your games or not. Kinnick is commonly referred to as a grave yard for top ten opponents. Not that many years ago they buried an OSU team.

To discount the various polls influence on the CFP committee, is to discount basic human nature. It may be minimal, but it will be looked at, in their body of work.

Iowa’s offense is just so damn bad it’s hard to believe. It’s about time for the Iowa AD to tell Ferentz either he cans his kid as OC or retires.

Who is this game announcer? He is very annoying.
The Buckeyes need to continue with the quick hitters, because the delay traps & counters are not working, Iowa is all over them.

Iowa’s offense is putrid. Have to wonder if this was the breaking point for Iowa’s defense and their season. They were not the same after Iowa turned it back over after the defense picked up a turnover from OSU. They just broke after that.

First Half- my thought process “MY GOD WE SUCK.” Second half- my thought process “My god we suck.”
Reality. Iowa has a solid defense and the Buckeyes overcame it.

Usually, I really like Joel Klatt. For this game, I didn't like the tone of his comments. Heck, Klatt did vote Ohio State #1

For me there is little difference between good announcers and bad ones. For the most part they're just background noise. I'm engrossed in watching line play. This year watching and amazed by how little Knowls' LBs and DBs give an indication of what they'll do after the ball is snapped. To this day I watch games on TV not so much like a fan, but how I studied film of games.

Eichenburg has improved so much in the last two years it's crazy. Our defense, under Knowles each week seems better. Also a shout out to playmaker and glue man Tanner Mcallaster. What an addition he's turned out to be!

Nice job running that ball Ryan "New Hampshire Boy" Day. Glad you kept throwing in all those blow out wins instead of working on the run game. I'm sure Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverweasles are shaking in their boots after watching that pathetic display of running. Congrats on Iowa being the worst offensive team in the last 200 years otherwise Ohio State would have been run off the field.
30 carries for 66 yards, not good - Michigan is laughing. Myron Williams - 10 carries for 19 yards with a long of 13 yards. So without that long run he had 9 carries for 6 yards. Michigan is licking their chops
Ryan Day on 3rd and 3 calls a timeout and comes up with a play. The play is a run play and it loses 3 yards. Well, well, well New Hampshire Boy, maybe if you worked on the run game back in September instead of trying to get Stroud 6 TD's passing every game we'd have a run game right now.
Year 4 of the Ryan Day regime and still only 1 win vs Michigan. Year 4, 1 win. You better beat Michigan. Ryan Day = John Cooper - He needs to go and a guy that understands the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry needs to be hired.
