Long road trip for Norton on a Friday night. If Clyde and Columbian were to meet up again, where would the game likely be at?

Assuming Fremont won’t be hosting, who’d be the next choice to host Clyde-Columbian.

Probably Bellevue or Willard. Willard has the nicest visiting stands now.

Norton has a good defense and seems average on offense. I'll take Norton by a slim margin.

Norton had a poor schedule. The two teams they played with a pulse, they were beat both times. One of those teams got bounced last week as a 4 seed. Clyde played a far tougher schedule and I’d guess they would’ve won 9 or 10 games with Norton’s schedule.

I see what you're saying. But I think it's easy to break down schedules and make a good argument. I could easily say clyde only has 2, maybe 3 quality wins. Holy Name, Bellevue, Toledo Scott. And that clyde lost to d5 Norwayne, who lost to D6 Northwestern. I think it'll be a close game.

Crazy to think this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Clyde and now have a chance to make it to the regional semis. A true testament to the coaches and players and having everyone buy in and believe in each other.

I agree SBC, the coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for being 8-3 on the season. Graduating 22 seniors and having small junior and senior classes and playing a lot sophomores could have been a recipe for rebuilding year, but Carter and staff have done a heck of a job this year. The future looks bright with lots of younger talent on the way as well.
Almost a two hour drive for Norton this week, that's quite a haul, will that affect them Friday night?

JV team is having a good season. Beat both Tiffin and Perkins.

The SBC is a great conference. Maybe the 2022 version wasn't as great as sbc fans were used to. Read alot on these threads about weak schedules, lack of size, speed, etc. when referencing your opponents. You know now that there is also some good football being played in other conferences across the state, and that the SBC isn't anything different than what these other schools see each week. This isn't a poke the bear post. We just would like to see the SBC faithful respect it's playoff opponents a little more than they have this season. I think the round 3 playoff location between clyde and Tiffin was already being discussed? Congrats to everyone for making it this far, and I'm sure some of these teams will meet again in the future.

Some pretty good football being played around the Akron Canton area. Not surprised by the Norton win.
