Both in the Bay?
Liberty Benton only if they get kicked out of their league. They really like being the big fish in the little pond. I'd think they'd want to play in the River, as most River schools are closer than the Bay schools AND LB thrives on playing smaller schools.

Liberty has already announced that they will be leaving the BVC no later than 2025.

Liberty Benton should be allowed in, Bay only. Margaretta and Willard should be given an ultimatum, Bay only too.

The same guy who used to say Davis Besse would be closing. I do agree though that the River needs to break off on their own and create another “MAL”. At that point you give Margaretta two options, go the MAL route or stay with the SBC.

i'd be very surprised if Liberty Benton would pull the trigger on it.. closed bay game would be willard at about an hour drive.. they would for driving purposes be better suited in the river, but would have to play football in the bay or lake..
elyria catholic, most drives are about 30 minutes PC is close to an hour..

Yeah that makes a-lot sense (not) MAL FB league Gib HL Lakota Calvert Woodmore (Program on Life support) SJCC (See Woodmore) Arcadia (see SJCC and Woodmore)? SMCC, Danbury, Old Fort and New Reigel should be quiet since they do not have Football. The 11 Man football schools need Margaretta and Willard/Edison to fill out the division. Margaretta and Willard/Edison need the River for schools more there size for football. Senecas East, Mohawk are not leaving where they are. Margaretta - you really think they are going to leave and join? Other sports dictate to be in a Bay like Division Willard - See Margaretta Bay PC (D5) Huron (D5/6) Vermilion (D4) Willard/Edison (D5/D6) LB (D5/6) Perkins/Bellevue (D4) Lake TC (D3) Sand (D3) Nor (D3) Clyde (D3) Perkins/Bellevue (D4) EC (D4) Week 4 crossover Case solved. One of these days people can/will figure it out that you have to travel and play schools "your own size" enrollment wise. Otherwise, there is no perfect solution for anyone. Margaretta/Willard/Edison need the river teams to stay for football and the River teams need them to get to 8 teams. There is no way that Margaretta/Willard/Edison wants to be a conference for the other sports with the river schools, where most of them are D4 and they are mostly D3 (Talking Basketball/volleyball/baseball/softball) In the Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Huron, and Seneca County area - are there: 8 schools within 30 miles of each other and in the same division for football? The answer is No

Speaking of Elyria Catholic and the coaching carousel threads elsewhere, they just made a big splash, hiring former Buckeyes Chase Farris as head coach, Troy Smith as OC, and Doran Grant as DC. Farris is an Elyria native and went to Elyria HS.
This was on the heels of EC’s successful HC, Brian Fox, creating some drama when he jumped ship a month ago to take the head job at Elyria HS.
Should be interesting to see how this impacts both programs and whether EC will ramp up their recruiting efforts.

That’s correct. The next closest private school football options for kids in western Lorain County (Avon, Avon Lake, Lorain, N Ridgeville) are Lutheran West in Rocky River or St. Ed’s in Lakewood.

Actually EC is in a very good spot to get kids from other schools into theirs.
