Mansfield Senior West Holmes Ashland Wooster New Philly Lexington Mount Vernon Madison No complaints with your guess. Wooster's starting QB did transfer to Triway, but after going 4-6 last year that could be okay.

1. Mansfield- Mansfield does return the whole Oline. However they do lose some of their best players. It will be interesting to see if anyone can step in for the Bradley boys. They also lose a couple coaches.
2. West Holmes- West Holmes also lost a couple of their best players and another Transferred out.
3. New Philly- I don’t know much about New Philly but they usually seem to be a pretty decent football school.
4. Ashland- I don’t expect much from this season but they benefit from a relatively weak league this year.
5. Wooster- Sounds like Wooster is due for a down year
6. Lexington- has some good Athletes but will they have a Oline or QB?
7. Madison- I would love to see Madison do decent but its probably going to be another down year with a new coach. They will be good enough to compete with a couple teams.
8. Mount Vernon- I don’t see MV ever being a good football team. Madison will beat them

Lexington did not have a QB last year but this year they do. Young kid but taller with a good arm and surrounded by athletic guys who can catch.
Mount Vernon has some younger tough kids that could show signs of life but I wonder if it be on jv or varsity.

We are now a month away 8/18 from the first Friday night football games! Has Ashland been in any summer events yet for you to see them play? I know they have been involved in a few 7on7's and they hosted a lineman challenge last week with a few schools but have not seen them live yet. Seems like the only thing I have been hearing is they will be a young team. Small senior class, lots of sophomores. One thing I am interested in seeing is how Coach V handles Freshman moving forward. Coach Seder played the best no matter what grade including multiple freshman the last few years. In all the years that Coach V was in Ashland he never played a freshman on varsity. Numbers aren't as great as they were years ago, but Ashland has a few freshman that could be really good.

What about the out-of-conference schedule for Mansfield Senior? Unbelievable.

What about the out-of-conference schedule for Mansfield Senior? Unbelievable. I could see them going 0-3 to start the season. But with 16 teams getting in the playoffs, I suppose it doesn't matter.

I suspect they will start 0-3. Maybe 0-4. Not 0-5, but not impossible. Their schedule is a meat grinder, no question. Wow.

In June Mansfield West Holmes New Philly Ashland Wooster Lexington Mount Vernon Madison In July West Holmes Mansfield New Philly Ashland - only because of their NEW head coach Lexington Wooster Mt Vernon Madison I like this list. I think the more I find out the more I truly think after the top three of Mansfield, WH, and New Philly, any of the next 5 teams could finish in any of those 5 spots. Might be the most competitive bad football in many years.

Might be the most competitive bad football in many years. The bottom of the OCC has provided some bad football in recent years but I cannot see anyone taking those spots away from Mt Vernon and Madison. I feel if any OCC teams lose to either Madison or MV it would be considered a very big upset. Even with Ashland, Wooster and Lexington being in the condition they are in. Wooster could finish in the bottom 3. And to think a couple years ago when New Philly and Dover was being pushed by Ashland and Wooster school officials, the statement was made they wanted to be in a "strong football conference".

Lexington definitely has some good athletes this year. If they come up with a QB and Line they could be dangerous with Fogle and Seven Allen and I heard they have a couple other very good athletes.

Their QB is a 6'3 soph who played varsity LB last season but has been the QB for the Soph class each year. Strong arm and a good athlete.

Some beef with other holes filled with strong tough kids. The benefit is that this new QB is tall and very athletic compared to the 5'8 average athlete. With the new OC and change in QBs they should have less sacks and less INTs.

I believe the OCC can go 6-2 in week 1, but would not be shocked at 5-3. With possible wins from Lexington, Wooster, Ashland, Mount Vernon, New Philadelphia, West Holmes

Nice win for Ashland tonight over River Valley 26-20 in OT. A lot of work to be done for the Arrows but you will always take a win to start the year.
