DII: 193-345 (198 schools)

Won't we have to wait until CB numbers are released too?

Won't we have to wait until CB numbers are released too? From my experience, divisions cannot be set without CB numbers being complete. So the fact that we are starting to see these numbers means the CB numbers for schools have already been set. Schools are required to submit their CB information before April I believe.

Looks like the numbers this movement gives the NWDAB a total of 159 teams for the boys district tournaments. 20 in D1, 33 in D2, 38 in D3 and 68 in D4.

Where are these schools assigned for Postseason? It may be months before that can be known. As in the past we could assume the NWDAB could organize 13 total district tournaments if they can find host sites. Two for D1. Three for D2 and D3. Five for D4.

Class AA 84 teams - 3 District champs 3.5% Class A 112 teams - 4 District champs 3.5% If 2023/24 is 2/3/3/5 again Division I 10% Division II 9% Division III 8% Division IV 7% Statistically it is 2-3 times "easier" to win a District title today than 60 years ago.

Typically back that far, the County title was celebrated and the Sectional Title was a major accomplishment. If I am correct, not all teams made the Sectional tournament. More comparable, the 1964 District Title would be more like a Regional Title of today.

1964 was the last year of the County tournament. 112 teams was reduced to 34 Sectional teams and 16 teams made it to District.
1964 had several teams go directly to Sectionals or play a 1 game county tournament due to there only being 1 or 2 class a teams in the County. I forget what year "sectionals" actually started as there was a point county reps went right into a 16+ team District.

It may be that not much will change for D1.
In D2 Sandusky, Wapak and Norwalk are gone. Is they keep the same sites of Ashland, Liberty Benton and Lake for the Districts, they need to find a place for Columbian and Bowling Green to give each site 11 teams. Upper could move to Ashland since they have been there before. Tiffin could go to LB and BG goes to Lake.
In D3 they lost LCC and Parkway but gained Otsego and with 38 schools, will not have even district so options are there. Otsego could go to Napoleon and a team like Wayne Trace to Lima.
D4 gains LCC and Parkway without losing a team. Having 68 and 5 District sites they can go in many ways.

I would look to move the district from Ashland High School. I know the are not many options since Lexington, Mansfield, Ontario, Galion, and Willard are div II. That would leave Madison which I have heard is not interested in hosting. To bad AU probably is not interested in hosting as well.

If that were to happen I could see Columbian going that way and Upper staying at LB.
