If you've ever been to any Clyde sporting event in your life, you probably know who Mark Rosche is.
Unfortunately, Mark passed away today. He was battling stomach cancer for a while and was doing better over the last few months (I saw him at a couple Clyde baseball and softball games), but fell pretty ill over the last week and succumbed to cancer today.

I think it would be hard to imagine the impact that Coach made on so many peoples lives in Flier Nation. I know some visitors to the stadium or the hanger found it rather difficult to listening to him announcing games as well as playing his music. But to all those kids over the years that made it even more special. I can only speak for myself as to what he meant to me as I grew up and wore the Fliers jerseys. He took myself and two or three other classmates to see my first ever cavs game vs David Robinson and the Spurs. Bought our tickets and got us there and back without a scratch. He was my 7th grade basketball coach as he came up with the team phrase of running and gunning and tough on D. We went undefeated under his caring and unorthodox coaching. Lol But ultimately one of the greatest memories of my life was also a trip he planned for myself as well as 3-4 other 11-13 year old kids to Massillon to watch the tigers play in what seemed like 50 thousand people but was prolly more 5-10. That one memory may or may not have made Flier Football what it once was and is now again. My teammates and I worked hard and wanted the chance to play in that atmosphere as we got a little older. Our senior year we came up a little short in not making the playoffs at 10-0, a memory that haunts many of us still to this day. But the following two years I was happy to see my Flier brothers make the trip to Massillon and the state championship game coming up short and then winning. I will never forget him and his notes and words of encouragement as well as his stickers on all the all star notes he wrote kids throughout all the years in Flier land. He will never be forgotten nor will he ever be replaced! Rest in Piece Coach! Thanks for making so many young boys and girls lives full of joy and love! #18
