- Pat Fitzgerald out at Northwestern - Georgia looking for a 3-peat - With how good they are and looking at their schedule it's highly likely they will be in the playoff again - Alabama - For them under Saban it's been awhile since they won one and watching Kirby win 2 in a row has to have them irked. - Notre Dame is in year 2 under Marcus Freeman (after a slow start last year they came on strong at the end) - USC is in year 2 under Lincoln Riley (11-3 record last year, the last time USC has won 12 in a season was 2008 under Pete Carroll) - Deion Sanders takes over at Colorado (can he get them to .500?)
A little over a month to go. It's almost here.

Fitzgerald? Whats your take Vogs? I personally think that he has known about the hazing since his playing days. However, I hated to see him take the heat for something that sure sounds like it was a tradition. What is killing him is that he looked the other way, rather than try to put an end to it. I'm an old school guy, so this doesn't make me all squeamish and uncomfortable, but this also isn't my freshman year and I'm not all wired to need "loved up" because someone was mean , disrespectful or sexually demeaning to me. Could be that I joined a frat in my college days and completely understand what it's like to receive my tasks in "re-socialization" and don't feel that I am any worse for it. It's just a different time and it cost Fitzgerald his job. I think he lands on his feet somewhere big as as assistant and will be just fine.

1.) Saddens me to see Northwestern part from Fitzgerald, but sadly we live in a different time. I’ll be 36 this year and hazing while some find it uncalled for isn’t the worst thing going on in the NCAA. I get it, but I guess I have a bit of old school in me as well.
2.) all roads run through Georgia and their recruiting isn’t slowing up just like their play on the field. It will be interesting however, with a new QB being under center. Will there be hiccups or a seamless transition.
3.) Alabama is almost an after thought, who would have ever thought that.
4.) I look for USC to have a huge year if they can square away that defense.
5.) how will the Buckeyes pan out???
To be continued……..

Some of that hazing sounded over the line and I can see why Fitzgerald was fired. You have to keep that stuff to Freshmen carry the Seniors equipment, Freshmen back of the line for dinner, etc. Can't get into the "xual" stuff, that's always over the line. Most of the "ism" complaints sounded like players that like to play the victim card. The Fab Five from Michigan lobbied the same sentiment at Duke in the early 1990's. We see the same complaints about Nikola Jokic, and about Larry Bird, etc. Some "minorities" think "ism" is involved when it's not involved at all.
PF: "Cut your hair it's the Wildcat way" Snowflake player: That's "ism"

Fair enough. I can see what your saying and I'm certain that the hazing idea isn't for everyone. I guess I never took much of that garbage to heart, because most of it was just that... garbage to make you uncomfortable and now, many years removed...laughable. I think Fitz likely went through it himself and so didn't feel a need to impose any type of super stringent rules.... just had the boys being boys mentality. Unfortunately it only takes one implosion to upset the whole apple cart and it cost him his job. It's not the worst thing to be fired for, but he'll be jumping through some hoops to get hired elsewhere. I still think a big program picks him up as an assistant coach or a DC and he lands on his feet far removed from his alma mater.

They play nobody those first 4 games, they’ll be fine.

Maybe if they played legit teams in those games, there could be some intrigue. They will be fine, but Harbaugh appears to really not like talking to the NCAA.

The possible suspension is nothing. He just has to leave the building the day of the game. can coach all week leading up to but cannot be in the stadium on gameday.

Hairball is living a charmed life right now. For two years he's danced with the NFL while snubbing the university, now he's basically given the NCAA the dirty digit by not cooperating with their supposed "investigation" and laughing at the suspension while the University stands idly by and laughs with him. Oh what a couple winning seasons have done for that school up north! Between Howard and Hairball, you can tell whose running the show up north

Big Ten adding Oregon and Washington to bring the league to 18 teams.
College football is about to just be the Big Ten and SEC, lol.

These moves have certainly shown the PAC-12 is on borrowed time and the emergence of super conferences is already here. My question however is who else does the SEC invite if anyone. A rather lengthy article read in my eyes that the SEC isn’t jumping to adding anyone else and seem to be just fine with their additions for the time being. As much as I hate to say it the title runs through the SEC given their success for the last 15+ years they have had.
