With Tiffins impressive win last night against Chardon I would have to lean towards TC being the favorite and king of the Lake. Perkins played a terrible inner city Toledo school & a down Elyria Catholic squad with a new coaching staff. Imo they have yet to proven themselves so I would have to go with Tiffin at this point. Based on SOS, the pirates still haven’t proved that they can play with a quality opponent. This will be the Pirates theme all year until week 10.

Perkins will go unbeaten IMO. I was however very impressed with Tiffin Friday. I'd be surprised if they are worse than 9-1.

That’s the problem of the SBC. Nothing is given, everything is taken. We have 8 more weeks of play. Key players could go down, you could have a bad night, etc. if we are basing solely on SOS, sure TC is the favorite. Something does have to be said about the Pirates though as well IMO. I said it before these kids didn’t pick the schedule and they have came out and exceeded everyone’s, well everyone that has a 1/4 functioning brain, expectations. I’m going for a week 10 show down, so I have a reason to see the pirates play beyond going to post season games.

Everyone should take notice; this will be best win in SbC this year unless TC upsets Central and/or perkins upsets Glenville

TC & Perkins have no chance against those teams.

We won’t find out until they play.

Simple answer here, the reigning champs, Perkins Pirates. Until they’re beaten, they are the kings. Point blank period. They’ve done nothing to make anyone dispute that. At least not anyone with credibility 🤷🏾♂️

We will see just how elite Glenville is after they play IMG Academy and Akron Hoban.

They will have their hands full with Avon this week as well.

They will have their hands full with Avon this week as well. I see they had a nice convincing win against the McKinley bulldogs this past Friday.

I have to agree with KingsofSBC in saying that Perkins is still the team on top. They went undefeated in Lake play last year and have many guys returning (especially at the skill positions). They are the team that everyone is targeting. Obviously TIffin is a serious threat, don't sleep on CLyde. I know on paper, they may not be as skilled as Perkins or TC, but they have the ability to rise to the ocassion. I think that Coach Carter is as good as there is in the area and his teams continually meet or exceed expecations. If Perkins or Tiffin has an off game against the Fliers, an upset could definitely be had. Bellevue is another team that can knock anyone off. I know that they are in the Bay this year, but, in terms of overall record, they could also be a danger team. Should be exciting to see how everything plays out.

If we look at all star teams, Perkins.

I believe I've hinted about this before, but Conference Titles don't hold as much importance to me. Lengthy Postseason runs do. For Football, that means Regional Titles at minimum Since 2010, "kings" have been Bellevue, Clyde, Columbian, Edison, Norwalk, Oak Harbor, and Port Clinton. I didn't research River Schools, but one gets the point. The one some think is king is the king getting potential game winning FG blocked and returned for a TD......in a Round 2 game. Sound harsh? Perhaps, but doing tournament damage is where it's at

Speculation is fun, best part of this game is it isn’t played on paper. Week 10 we might find out who the kings are, or maybe it will have been determined by that point. So much can happen between now and then, these kids have a lot of tough games to get through before beating on each other. Certainly a game I am sure both teams have circled and thought about alot this off season.

Ahh Jake, sick burn as usual. Norwalk and Fremont are both terrible so you stay relevant trying to drag Perkins. I interpreted the question to mean currently, ya know, considering I can read an nowhere did it say all time while factoring in playoff success. But troll on….and make picks based on tradition and history not actual football knowledge

Who cares anyway. Columbian will lose to Toledo Central Catholic as well as Perkins losing to Glenville in the postseason, but one or both will probably choke earlier as usual.

You’re probably right…kinda how Ohio State has been choking each year vs Michigan, then again after they still back into a playoff spot. At least you have the ‘World Wide Receiver Championship’ to help you during those lonely nights Who cares anyway. Columbian will lose to Toledo Central Catholic as well as Perkins losing to Glenville in the postseason, but one or both will probably choke earlier as usual.
