Ontario has too much firepower for Galion. Ontario wins by 3 TDs Can Shelby stop Nauman, he had 400+ against Shelby defense last year. I think Whippets figure it out this year, win by 2 TDs If Clear Fork doesn’t win this one, will they have Carroll on speed dial? Toss up game, Clear Fork squeaks out a much needed victory. RV offense too much for Harding,,RV wins by a TD
Ashland rolls Madison in the Valentine Bowl Lex playing well, but Senior has too much firepower for the young Minutemen. New Philly in a romp, clock game West Holmes wins by a couple TDs

Galion at Ontario: We will see if galion can slow down Ontario's offense... ball control is the best way to do so. I think Ontario stays hot. Highland at Shelby: See comments from above. Shelby wins by 10 via a big play late Clear Fork at Pleasant: Pleasant wins handedly. Last weeks showing leads me to believe the Colts have their eyes set on 10/21 River Valley at Marion Harding: River Valley has another big night offensively, wins by 3+ scores in another high scoring affair Madison at Ashland: Ashland wins by 21+. Making Valentine ecstatic about his decision to return to A-town. Mansfield Senior at Lexington: Lexington with the upset if they limit turnovers. Their young guns are gaining confidence. Sr has relied on big plays. Lack of balance on offense will hurt them I think. Mt. Vernon at New Philadelphia: NP gets back on track and wins by 14+. Wooster at West Holmes: Knights topple Wooster as they start to gain more confidence on Offense.

Galion at Ontario - Well its time to see how Galion bounces back after a total dismantling courtesy of Shelby. Ontario is really rolling but how much have they been tested? I like Galion to bounce back in a close one, Galion by 3
Highland at Shelby - Shelby really proved me wrong and showed they what they can do when the line plays the way they are capable of. I think they avoid any kind of let down and avenge last years loss to Highland. Shelby by 20
Clear Fork at Pleasant - CF had a must win to gain confidence to finish the season.... they scored nothing... I think Pleasant will give up some points, but I think Pleasant wins by 10
River Valley at Marion Harding - RV in a shootout, they cannot play any defense. They sure can score it though.
Madison at Ashland - Ashland.... will Madison ever turn it around?
Mansfield Senior at Lexington - Senior by 2 scores.
Mt. Vernon at New Philadelphia - NP names the score.
Wooster at West Holmes- I like West Holmes, who might run the table in the league after the Senior loss. Will interesting to see if someone can knock Senior off and give WH a chance to share the league.
Any news on Fillmore? I figured he would be on here enjoying Ontario's success

The Highland game is a classic trap game for Shelby IMO. Highland all-Ohio running back shredded Shelby for over 400 yards last year against virtually the same defensive line and secondary and hes wreaking more havoc this season. Bellevue;s LaPata ran all over Shelby earlier this year and while the defense has improved, I question whether it has to the point of being able to stop a quality ground game. Galion;s running game was over-rated and over-hyped, this game will be the true test of Shelby's defense.

Galion at Ontario - Galion bounces back with a win after an embarrassing loss to Shelby. It's a close one. Tigers by 3. Highland at Shelby - Shelby big play offense helps the Whippets get a huge W and take sole possession of first place in the MOAC. Clear Fork at Pleasant - Pleasant continues the Colts season to forget. The rumblings in CF country get louder. River Valley at Marion Harding - The R Valley offense continues to keep scoreboard operators busy. Their defense does the same. R Valley with the W. Madison at Ashland - Madison stays perfect. Ashland wins big. Mansfield Senior at Lexington - Lexington is getting better but Senior is too much this week. TYgers by 14. Mt. Vernon at New Philadelphia - Running clock. New Philly takes control early and rolls to victory. Wooster at West Holmes - W Holmes handles their business, winning by 2-3 TD's.

Galion at Ontario - it will be interesting to see if Galion can rebound against what is looking like a very good Warriors team. Ontario better not sleep on the Tigers. Could be relatively close. But I'll take the Warriors 35-27 over the Tigers.
Highland at Shelby - Highland can run the ball, but can they control the tempo of the game with their running game? Shelby has shown if they have a weakness it's their run defense. That could make this game very interesting. But I say the Whippets 35-28 over the Fighting Scots.
Clear Fork at Pleasant There yelling for Dave down in the valley. The yells may get louder after this weekend. Spartans 22-14 over the Colts.
River Valley at Marion Harding - River Valley takes this in what could be a high scoring game. Vikings 42- 33 over the Presidents.
Madison at Ashland - Ashland rolls in the Valentine bowl. Don't see Madison winning a game this season. Arrows 44-13 over the Rams.
Mansfield Senior at Lexington - This is the Cleveland Browns Game of the Week. The winner of this game will get $2500 from the Brown's youth organization. That being said as much as Lex has improved the last few weeks. The TYgers are just better than the young Minutemen. TYgers 45-21 over the Minutemen.
Mt. Vernon at New Philadelphia - New Philadelphia bounces back in a big way. Quakers 38-6 over the Yellow Jackets.
Wooster at West Holmes- Wooster having a rough year and that continues this week. Knights 41-21 over the Generals.

A few thoughts: It will be interesting to see how Galion bounces back after the beatdown at Shelby. Sadly the coaching staff which I’ve been critical many times on here over the years yet again made no adjustments to what Shelby was doing. They sold out on the run and short pass trying to stop the deep pass. Shelby very much outcoached and definitely out athleted Galion. Ontario will deploy a similar offense which could spell trouble once again. I think Ontario pulls it out but the score will be closer than the Shelby game. I like Pleasant over Clear Fork. Looks like a really long season in the valley.
I’ll go with Shelby over Highland in a closer than last week game. Highland’s running attack will give Shelby problems, but they will win it in the trenches.
River Valley will score a lot of points once again and defeat Harding comfortably.
I’ll go with Mansfield over Lex in a close one, Ashland over Madison comfortably, New Philadelphia over Mt. Vernon also comfortably, and West Holmes over Wooster.

Ontario will deploy a similar offense which could spell trouble once again. I think Ontario pulls it out but the score will be closer than the Shelby game. I thought, from the onset of the game, when Galion scored first (against Shelby) and mismanaged the subsequent extra point attempt; that things were not going to bode well for the Tigers from there on out. Galion relied way too much on the run throughout the contest and never had Shelby off balance. It looked as if Shelby knew what Galion was going to do (duh....here comes another run) before Galion did......and that, quite honestly, implicates the play calling and the coaching staff. Galion played as if they were trying not to lose and NOT playing like they were trying to win (like the infamous "prevent defense). They were as flat as a board and never took it to the Whippets, the Whippets took it to the Tigers and rubbed their collective faces in "it". My heart says that things will improve against the Warriors.......but my head says "probably not". I'd have to say that the Warriors will take this one by 15 points (plus or minus 3 points).

14-14 Shelby-Highland after one. Shelby quick score then recovered an onside kick for another. Highland then drives for one. A couple of punts then Highland drives for another. Their drive was helped a little. They had a third and one. Running play quick pitch to the back is fumbled about three yards deep in the backfield. Officials inadvertently blow the ball dead. They replay third and short instead of fourth and 4-5. In the officials defense they’re working with a four man crew.

26-14 Shelby halftime. Missed the first PAT off the upright. Tried to go for two on the next TD. Got in, but a holding call brought it back. Decided to kick and a false start moved it back another five. Wide left at that point.

Ontario 45 Galion 28 at halftime. Not looking good on the visitors side. 2 went out early and doesn’t look like he’s coming back. They’re banged up and reeling now.

Ontario 52 Galion 35 after 3. Galion recovered a fumble on kickoff to start 3rd and scored. Then got Ontario to punt and got it to the 1 before fumbling and Ontario recovered. Then went 99 and scored.

Shelby 48-14 final. Highland barely handed the ball to a guy who already has 1000+ yards rushing after five games?!? Shelby’s running game is developing making them harder to defend. Devito can make some things happen when he has to improvise and he’s making better decisions throwing the ball away sometimes.
