Perkins will finish the season as undefeated state champions. Glenville wants nothing to do with the Pirates, who cannot be stopped on offense. In fact, Glenville may be the only team that can even keep close to Perkins, although I really think the Pirates will beat them.

Perkins will see who they are vs Glenville. Let’s get through the regular season healthy first.

I hope to get the opportunity to see Perkins play. Maybe in the playoffs somewhere. Good luck Pirates!

Glenville vs Perkins winner will win state IMO. Region 13,15 and 16 don't have any dominant teams in them. Wyoming plays a really weak schedule. I saw Sheridan on film and they weren't overwhelming either.

Whoever emerges (alter?) will be well prepared for whatever comes their way in the semi’s.

A couple questions I have about Perkins after seeing them.
What are they going to do when a team takes Collier away? They are really reliant on him not just for big plays but to keep the sticks moving as well.
Can they move the chains on the ground against a good defense? There’s a difference between hitting big plays and being able to grind out a game.
When they meet Glenville can they survive the first quarter? Perkins schedule does not prep them for the type of speed and strength they’ll see that night. It will take them some time to adjust to it so surviving that first quarter or so is key. Get past that and they might have a chance.

Perkins beat a D5 Edison team thats still running a 1980s offense. Sure, good win for the Pirates but Glenville is an entirely different animal. Glenville is walking to a second straight state championship, still beating Perkins by 3+ scores

Clinton-Massie will have something to say about a state title as well.
Glenvilles speed and athleticism is what puts them above the rest. Perkins will have to contain that speed and play with equal athleticism, regardless if they’re the less talented team. You don’t beat Glenville without either.

Would be my assumption as to who they’d move to next in the scenario I mentioned. Still have do it though and then be successful doing it.

Just stick with your sorry teams in the bay fella.

Speaking of the Pirate running back, I am looking forward to seeing him run against a formidable defense. The kid is talented and has skills, which is why I would like to see him put up against a talented defense. Sturzinger and Nixon are quality WR’s that will get YAC, which come post season everyone has to elevate their game.

What happened to taking it one week at a time? Week 7 just finished and now we are talking about a state championship? Crazy! What about finishing off the regular season strong and getting better each week? All you Pirates fans better hope that the kids and coaches are not thinking that way. For Perkins sake, I hope Tiffin plays up to their ability in week 10 because they need a true test before a big game in the postseason. Perkins is not that unstoppable and it is naive to thing that Glenville is the only they are worried about. Teams with offense talent and playmakers will score on Perkins. Can't leave your corners on an island all the time and not expect to get tourched when you play a worthy team.

Don’t think they can be stopped all the way to week 16.
One thing Perkins will find out that for future years fewer and fewer are going to want to schedule them outside of conference. Especially after they do win state this year. Will have to start scheduling D2 schools

Tell me you haven’t seen Perkins play without telling me you haven’t seen Perkins play. #4 is just as good as #1, and they have plenty guys in the possession/screen game. Yes, Glenville is the region favorite, but don’t tell me Collier is the only threat. We all saw #4 go for 200yds and 3 TDs in Friday’s game, did you not? A couple questions I have about Perkins after seeing them. What are they going to do when a team takes Collier away? Get past that and they might have a chance.

No one’s crowning them, they’ll really have to play near perfect to win the region/state. Just admit they’re the best in the area and they have a chance to represent the 419 well in the playoffs. No guarantees obviously Regarding Perkins, so we're crowning their ***? Sincerely, Dennis Green

Perhaps only Tyson Gentry is in his league. The numbers he would have put up in this offense would have been crazy. What I laid out was a scenario where a school like Glenville or Wyoming or Alter who have the athletes say “anyone but him”. Who makes the plays then? It may very well be 4 who’s a very good player himself or perhaps it’s 18 or another player. Someone’s gotta do it though and that’s the point I’m trying to make.

Perkins hasn't played a team yet that can match their athleticism. Glenville will be more athletic at every position, and they have a couple big time corners (one who is one of the best in the country) who should be able to give those stud receivers a tough time. Not to mention that Glenville running back would likely have a field day. I have a hard time believing Perkins would beat them, but it's certainly not impossible. I am looking forward to that game if they meet and will be pulling for my Pirates.

Very high praise, you may be correct. #1 is only a junior, still more development ahead. I understand your point overall, well said! I like what I see in this team. The fans here are excited. Everyone pumps there chest when things go good. When they go bad they want change. I do think this team has a good shot at the title.
