Perkins has to make the most out of every possession they have, that’s the bare minimum. Leaving any points off the board is certain disaster. Make no mistake as well Perkins has some “dudes” on that team. I venture to think though the WR crew will not get any cushion out there and wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see Glenville run man all night.
Part of this game is about learning what kind of team you are and I like that I saw bunts out there on defense. Someone who knows more will have to correct me but I was told that was something they started doing against Memorial. The Perkins athletes are going to have to play 2 ways and embrace the suck of that.
Perkins play calling is going to need to be a masterpiece. I hope the coaches cooked up a real burner in the crock pot for this one.
I’ll be attending the game so first ones on me at a local watering hole.

Right now the forecast calls for rain Friday night in Elyria. Really hope that isn’t the case. I would like to see these two high powered offenses in clean conditions.

Glenville is very hard to tackle. Not that Shelby was the best at tackling, but those Glenville players will absolutely break tackles that you aren't used to seeing in our area. Bunch of hockey player thighs they all had.
I think Perkins' line will do them favors compared to Shelby, who was operating in a panic on every single offensive play. Any of our positive yard gains came from passing, whereas rushing went -15 yards.

Perkins will have a solid game plan as they have been probably preparing for this game for a year. I think it will be a close one, Lesch better get his legs ready to move a bit from pressure35-28 glenville.

I am guessing that BCSN Erie will broadcast the game. Spectrum1 announced their live streaming games and they will air Tiffin/Toledo CC and the Perkins/Glenville game. I doubt anyone will live stream it.

I really want Perkins to win this game. But I just don't think it will happen. After watching them play West Holmes, I wasn't overly impressed. Perkins is nothing they haven't seen before. Have a feeling Glenville is going to win this one by a fair amount....maybe 3 tds.

I really want Perkins to win this game. But I just don't think it will happen. After watching them play West Holmes, I wasn't overly impressed. Perkins is nothing they haven't seen before. Have a feeling Glenville is going to win this one by a fair amount....maybe 3 tds. One thing I’ll say is every game is different. If you think Perkins will try to attack and defend Glenville the same way as WH, I have ocean front property in Nebraska to sell you. I’m not saying they’ll win, of course they are the underdog. But to say they’ll lose by 3 tds is disrespectful. We will see Friday. |

Not to criticize Drew or Calpreps here, but their systems appear to have a particularly difficult time measuring a team like Glenville. They said it would be a 10-15 point game between Shelby and Glenville.
The issue is how unique Glenville's regular season schedule is constructed. They have three games against teams who are considered top 5-10 in Ohio (in IMG's case, top 5-10 nationally). The remaining games are against teams that Madison or Willard could go undefeated against. That's a huge chasm that has to be reconciled, and it makes Glenville a bizarre outlier.
