Now that OHSAA has announced the new Divisional and Regional assignments, it's time to start thinking about the upcoming season. Unlike some of the other area leagues, there have not been any Division changes for the N10. However, due to some of the changes in those leagues, Bucyrus, Colonel Crawford, and Wynford have been moved from Region 22 to Region 23, which is the "southeast" region. It will be important for playoff travel purposes, for those 3 teams to finish in the top 8. Don't want to chance having to go to the Ohio River area for a 1st playoff game. Upper D4, R14 Carey D6, R22 SE D6, R22 Bucyrus D6, R23 Col. Crawford D6, R 23 Wynford D6, R 23Buc. Hell even Bucyrus has a chance to make the playoffs in that region.

How do those in the know see the N10 shaking out this year? Definitely see Carey staying at the Top. Obviously Colonel Crawford will continue to be very competitive in that rivalry. I really like the direction Wynford is moving in and could see them being a serious competitor. Definitely could see Seneca East and Upper Sandusky struggling without their super star QB’s. Mohawk was much better than their record showed last year and I think they’ll leap frog SE and US. Bucyrus and Buckeye Centrall yet to show me anything to be excited for.

There are a few good teams there. At least now, CC won't have to face the same 3 teams again that knocked them out of the playoffs, the last three years. As far as travel, maybe I was thinking a little too "personally" .

I think the usual top contenders will remain the same, maybe with a little reshuffling.

Anyone know why CC scheduled a home and home with River and Stritch the last couple years? Travel for both and competition with Cardinal Stritch seem less than ideal. There are a boatload of similar size schools within an hour or so.

I think the deal with Stritch came about when Lakota canceled on CC with short notice. Both were looking for a week 2 with not much choice available if they wanted a game. Not sure about River, but they are a quality program, usually in the playoffs. Incidentally, CC's home game with River will be a Thursday evening opener, as was the game last year when CC went down to the Ohio "River".
