Wished Upper Sandusky was in this. Looks like they're continuing their tradition of winning. Current AP #1, III. I believe Upper is Division II, not III They are big fish in small pond, playing all division IV schools, a few bigger schools. Their closet game was Shelby and I believe Upper won that by 9, which was Shelby, maybe 3rd week of playing together because of football playoffs. Don't take this wrong, Upper has a good team, but No. 1 in AP. If they played all the teams in this D2 District, they may go 500. Upper would win against most of the schools in this district. Lex would give them problems with their size and Sandusky would be more athletic. Upper would much rather be in this district than the one they are in

There are a lot of traditionally sound basketball programs in the AP Top 10, not that it matters.

In the perfect world, Huron will play Ontario somewhere in the district tournament. I see Huron winning that one easily, with Willard sitting somewhere in the crowd typing away on the forum. If this happens, I will make it my personal mission to personally confront Willard Dumpmore, and if he agrees, we can play a game of duplicate bridge. However, I bet he is too scared to agree to these terms, so i'll just take a Tiger win. Willard- Ontario continues to dump, you also had a dumpy 2016 in bridge, and have yet to get a win in 2017, any correlation? Also, my friend Lyle wants to know if you know Seymour? GO tigers Seymour, if Ontario should happen to beat Huron in a huge upset what will you do, what should I do? In 2017 Ontario is 3-0 by an average of +31ppg. Huron is 2-2 by an average of -2ppg.

However this year with Sandusky, Lexington and Ontario (as of late) add in Vermilion and I would rate the two districts pretty even imo...

I understand what you are saying, but here are 2 things to think of: 1) toss out records and what part of the state is better? 2) who would you rather play to get out of districts Ottawa-Glandorf or one of the schools from this district?

If you toss out records you have nothing to go on. But my answer is the Central part. I would rather play Ottawa Glandorf than Vermillion.

Since 2003 that area has had 9 state champions. Counting O.G. Defiance LCC Upper Convoy Crestview. That is a pretty good case as to which area has had better basketball.. it is all about championships right? 😎😎

Even with out the records, I would still say that Ottawa-Glandorf is better. In that area they eat, sleep, and dream about basketball. You go though Putman County you will find a basketball hoop at just about every house. Even the Grandparents will have a hoop for when family's come over for Sunday dinner.

This year, right now, this season, in 2017, I would rather play an Ottawa than Vermillion.

If you honestly think Vermilion is better than them good for you. The Mansfield district is not better than Ohio Northern. There is no way you can argue Mansfield is better

I thought you threw the records out? So are we using information or not?
I never said either District was better. You asked who I would rather play. So I answered.
I never said Mansfield is better. You tossed out records so I asked how can you tell who is better and you claimed by reputation. Mansfield has a good reputation but it means nothing this year. Their record indicates how good they are.
Ottawa has a good reputation but I would rather play them this year than Vermilion. You think that is a slap to Glandorf, but I mean it as a compliment to the Sailors.

Of the 208 teams in DII only 5 have a worse strength of schedule rating than Upper. THE reason they're #30.

There are 16 districts in the D2 state. How many of them have 3 teams ranked in the top 30? FYI, I do admit I don't put much value in this ranking.

They may not but we will never know. You do know that 6-6 Van Wert and 8-5 Shawnee took them to OT. And they lost to 7-5 Findlay.

So O-G would not lose to a team that made a Regional run last season but they would receive scares from 2 teams who have not made it out of Sectionals in the last 5 years. Again, no one is saying Ottawa is bad. You asked a question and I answered it.
