How many years eligibility does Dakich have? (I was thinking he had only one.) Like the idea of him developing and possibly flourishing at his guard position. Maybe we can call it the Justin Boren syndrome....lol

A surprising change from last year.
The 7 players with the most playing time have made 76.8% of their free throws.
The most important position at the end of games with a lead is PG. He has his hands on the ball most, thus most likely to be fouled to stop the clock. Ohio State's 2 PGs make 82.3% of their free throws.

Bucks with a 38-31 lead over Minnesota at Madison Square Garden
Started slow, but had a nice 17-0 run to take the lead

started slow was down 10 early, up 7 at half. Kaleb wesson has been a force inside and KBD started to heat up torward end of the half. team looked good with him not playing well offensively, Cj jackson can stroke that 3.

This team plays tough defense. Wesson and KBD with solid games, good all around team game. Match last seasons win total, hope for purdue to lose soon.

That's a pretty big jump for a team that beat 2 unranked conference teams last week.

just shows what voters think of osu. low scoring first half, Nebraska is no slouch.

good win, refs called everything. good game from tate wesson and kbd took over in second half, stops on defense when needed. Thought to be a trap game for osu, turns out to a tight close win.

Good win vs Nebraska who was playing very well coming into Columbus.Especially considering the quick turnaround from playing in NYC on Saturday vs Minn. Bucks moved the ball efficiently around and created good shots. They are limiting turnovers and are holding the opposition many times to one shot. It looks like we have a solid 10 person rotation which covers all the scholarship players. Each one has a role and that's big because everyone gets to contribute and that creates good team chemistry. When you look at the bench and the body language, these guys are playing for each other. All the returning guys have improved year over year from last season, which tells me the coaching staff is doing a great job in practice. I think that alone will create some positives for recruiting as the HS players want to get developed as players and also win games. Longtime fan and I have not seen a turnaround like this that I can recall. Literally worst to first.
When Holtmann was hired, a lot of people myself included were a bit disappointed because other than coming from Butler you didn't really know much about him or his assistants for that matter. We knew Scoonie Penn from being a former player, but none of the other coaches. Everyone was ticked because "we missed out on Miller because Indiana pulled the trigger" and got him before OSU could. At this stage in watching Indiana play, OSU has the better staff.

I agree, the Buckeyes were deliberately ignored and dissed by so-called experts on BTN and SECPN when discussing anything Big Ten. Had we stayed with Matta, this same team would be lucky to be .500 The character and attitude of this years team is so much different. When they get down early, there is no signs of panic or urgency....just a heads up, workman-like attitude, reflecting that of coach Holtmann. Last night they fought through an intense and tight game with their big man on the bench till the final two minutes of the game. Dakich continues to impress me, with his composure and leadership. He is elevating this team with his play and his abilities to see the opportunities for an assist.

kdb might not play tonight, he’s sick. hope buckeyes can still play well. ( i think they can ) but i’m just looking forward to 2 years from now. this class could be very good, combined with what already have. and 2019s. just something to look forward to. but as of now osu is good this year.

getting rid of Loving and Lyles helped haha getting rid of Funderburk also helped Thanks goes to Mattar for "getting rid" of Austin Grandstaff, Daniel Giddens, AJ Harris and Mickey Mitchel. They would be a HUGE cancer for Holtmann, if still here.
Only running out of eligibility could get rid of Loving. Thank goodness

When you look at the box score and see how well OSU played and still lost,,, shows how well PSU shot the ball tonight.

Don't know how the final stats came out, but PSU was still shooting over 60 percent late in the game. It took an opponent playing perhaps their finest game of the year to turn the trick. Great game, great finish, wrong result.

OSU outrebounded PSU by 4 OSU had more assists than PSU by 2 OSU had more steals than PSU by 3 OSU had more blocks than PSU by 3 OSU had the nearly the same amount of turnovers as PSU only 11-10 OSU shoots 56% from the field OSU shoots 100% from the FT line 16-16 PSU made 11/14 from 3 PSU made the only 40 foot shot at the buzzer, a banker no less--ah,,,there's difference KBD who scored 25 and led a 13 point come back in the final 6 minutes to tie it, was so ill that him playing was even in doubt earlier in the day. Crazy stuff, but I guess this was a game OSU was destined to lose no matter how well they played.

It will be interesting to see how this team reacts to their first conference loss. Like you guys have said they played well, but Penn St won. If they take the positives they will be fine. I don’t think anyone in the Big Ten is going unbeaten, so like the great Bill Belichick said, “Onto Indiana.”

As buckeyekid pointed out, this game was played at a very high level, by both teams. Credit both coaches for such a remarkable game.
If that desperation shot at the buzzer goes off mark (it was well defended, by the way), I like the Buckeyes chances in O.T., with momentum on their side.
