Income tax= tax on what you earn Sales tax= tax on what you purchase Property tax= tax on real estate you own I really can’t believe how many people comment on things they have no clue on and don’t understand the most simple government functions.

It doesn’t affect retires because you don’t pay income tax on social security or pension benefits. The farmers like income tax over property tax since they own so much property. The paper might have made it sound like farmers won’t have to pay but that is wrong. They still also pay income tax. As far as where the rest of the money goes I don’t know. I just don’t like it when people post wrong information as Wyandot did.

Everyone who lives in the school district and has a job will pay the income tax. School levies apply to school districts not just the city limits.

I don't know why you guys down there do what we did here in Norwalk for our Performing Arts Center or as we call it The Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center. First off Mr. Ernsthausen owned the Norwalk Truck Lines and they gave to the city and schools what they needed and when he and his wife passed away they set up a trust fund to be use for the betterment of the town or schools. When Norwalk Schools build their new high school it was suggested to use the trust fund to add on a PAC and that is how we got ours so my question is why isn't it that the major factories contribute say maybe $15,000 to $50,000 or more or maybe have one or more of those very rich owners of those produce companies in Celeryville donate to the same school that gave their kids the same education that others have received. That's my 2 cents and I will stick with it cause my money is more to me and if Norwalk did this by putting a emergency tax on after having to pay for your new school building. because the people that are pushing for increased taxes are outside the city limits and it wont affect them, including "rich owners" of produce companies....this is why Willard schools are in the shape they are in.people are tired of a select group running the show...they say they want community involvement...but do they really? they ask for opinion and do what they want anyway...look at moneyballs suggestion. if the school could go this route and could make money from volleyball and basketball tournaments and it could fund the PAC then its foolish to expect tax payer dollars to fund it. The school had a significant amount of money left over after they built it. That money was suppose to be used for a field house. Where did that money go? Why are they not using it for a PAC if they aren't building a field house. The sad thing is our voters are the retirement and farmers...the people that this will affect are most likely not going to go out and vote it down. [br
