I think he finally recovered fully from the injury suffered during football season, and is now ready to play basketball. What if that were the case, should he be allowed to join the team then?

If Michigan doesn't lose on a last second FG to Iowa then their would have been a 3 way tie in the East. Ohio State would have won the tiebreaker over Penn State and Michigan. Did Ohio State get a trophy for sharing the Big Ten East best record with Penn State? Or did OSU not get one because they lost the tiebreaker? That's 2 years in a row that Michigan has lost a game in the last second that cost Ohio State from winning the tiebreaker. If Ohio State didn't play 2 back to back night games against Wisconsin and Penn State who both had 2 weeks to rest and prepare for Ohio State. And if Ohio State didn't have a punt and field goal blocked that turned into points for Penn State. Ohio State would not have lost by 3 to Penn State, would be undefeated and all other Big Ten Teams and results would be meaningless. And both of those games being on the road. How much did that help Wisconsin and Penn State that they had the extra week of rest as well.

Really GENTS, does it make a lot of difference who "WINS" this CONFERENCE in 2017? SEEMS like the MOAC "CHAMPION" does not get VERY FAR in the playoffs. LOL Go back to your corner, sell your crack and try to Impress someone else.

Could maybe see Gilead and Dingtown coming back, but Northmor seems a bit far travel wise and size wise. With a 10 team league the MOAC could check out the way the MAC sets their schedules.

Moac is not good rn either. As it once was. I thought Harding had a ship in mid 1900s but that's been a long time and not sure if 100% right. But yeah there's worse then the kmac I see what you mean. I think it's all perspective. I think if your Highland or Mount Gilead in the KMAC or Harding or Buckeye Valley in the MOAC then it's probably not that great of a league in terms of what you face in non league or what you would have to face come postseason. I think for the division 6 schools in the KMAC or any of the division 4 or smaller schools in the MOAC it's a pretty good league, and despite what happened this year will prep you for the postseason pretty well. It seems the OHSAA only recognizes the AP poll champions. Anyone know if that is their stance for sure?

Good luck to all of the MOAC teams next year. It should be a really competitive league from top to bottom. I hope the recent changes work out and the conference continues to evolve into something that lasts for a long time. If the games are half as combative as this thread, it will be a great year. Good luck to the Pioneers in their new league. Maybe we will meet down the road sometime.

Based on voting though looks like Danville is a very solid contender. PS I like the one northmor vote. Were you at the Northmor Pleasant game the year the deputy fell off his horse? I think that was the year Northmor had a good team with the Galik boys.

Sitting here, weighing an 88 mile one-way trip for a game tomorrow night, it occurred to me that this is a bit out of the norm for the usual suspects, Pleasant, River Valley or North Union to not have a home game in week 11. So I checked. Going back to 2000 Pleasant has had 10 home games in week 11, North Union 4 and River Valley 1. Back in 2002 and 2003 both Pleasant and Ridgdale had home games in week 11 out of region 20. Only in 2005 did the area not have a home game in week 11 until last year and again this year.

I'm not sure which days of the week bball is played, a Friday slate of 10 games would work. That would probably get all league games and a couple bonus. Maybe add in Elgin or Ridgedale games. That "all league" comment above means that you would include the old Blue division games.

From the MOAC constitution: Football All-Conference Positions: Offense Defense (O)Lineman 5 (D)Lineman 4 Offensive Skill Positions 5 Linebackers/Defensive Backs 7 (O)Receiver 1 (O)Specialist 1 (D)Specialist 1 Hope this kinda "columns up"
*Tight Ends can be either a lineman or receiver + Offensive skill players may include a receiver, but at least one receiver must be selected for that position First Team member nominations for each football position shall be submitted to the (Commissioner) beginning the Sunday prior to the last football weekend (first day of week 10) and will close at noon on Wednesday of that same week. A player may be nominated for and receive honors for more than one position. Voting will commence following the playing of the last regular season game and end 48 hours later. If any ties exist, the Commissioner will notify the coaches via email and open the voting for a 24 hour period. Second team nominations will be opened at the conclusion of the First team voting and close 24 hours later. At that time voting for second team members shall begin and end 48 hours later. If any ties exist the Commissioner will notify the coaches and open tie breaker voting for a period of 24 hours. At the conclusion of the tie breaker voting the Commissioner will post the first and second team members, then request honorable mention player names from each coach. The Honorable Mention player names will be posted as they are supplied.

^^^ Detail which Star stats are incorrect. The ones I checked, taking MOAC site numbers and adding the box score numbers from week 10, showed the Stars to be correct.
