14 years is a long tenure. you yourself have mentioned antics you have heard about on this forum and to some severity of the rumors. key word being rumors. So dont act surprised it ultimately did not work out. My surprise is that this coach has been coaching the same way for 14 years at Clear Fork. NOW, it's a problem? it only takes a few upset or delusional parents to make things happen...they get into the ear of a school board member or somebody on the Administrative team who doesn't have the guts to shut it down...and next thing you know the coach is gone. I'm not at all familiar with Clear Fork or this situation, but I saw it in Norwalk when a few parents tried to run Steve Gray a few seasons after he won a State title in basketball. Parents are just out of control nowadays.

Any chance they reverse course after this and bring him back for one more if the decision was really leaked out of executive session by the board? That would be terrible. Relationships have been torched at this point. In an interview he states he received a phone call from a parent the day of their tournament game, complaining about their son needing to be more involved. He said this phone call lasted for an hour. Complaining parent calls on game day may last 15-20 minutes but not an hour. This is not someone just calling to complain. For that call to last an hour and it to be made on game day, it is someone close to the coach and who has been in conversations with the HC already. complaining parent calling on gameday gets hung up on immediately...what the heck is wrong with these parents?

I'd say West Holmes. Glenville is so undisciplined that they seem to beat themselves. Norwalk beat the stuffing out of them a few years ago and it was 1 penalty after another for them. Pulling for the SBC teams whomever they play. I guess I don’t get what you mean by undisciplined? I watched them play Avon on Bally sports and they looked very disciplined . I know in the past it was different but this team that I watched were all on the same page and getting the job done . I plan on watching this team live in the up coming playoffs . In the Norwalk game a few seasons ago Glenville was a trainwreck, which was very surprising given that Ted Ginn Sr had been there forever. They had trouble getting lined up on plays. Couldn't figure out who was supposed to be on the field for special teams. And at one point had back-to-back delay of game penalties on offense. So it wasn't a talent issue, it was a coaching issue.

He's also 2 for 37 with 27 strikeouts in career playoff games vs Cleveland.

It would be nice to see some fresh blood in the NLCS. SD and PHI would be a unique matchup if it happens. completely agree...I would love to see an ALCS/NLCS without the Dodgers, Mets and Yankees...but the TV networks could be curled up in the fetal position if that happened.

As a fan who's not going to the game...I don't mind some day playoff baseball...helps the day go a little faster. And given the colder temps in Cleveland this time of year, I'd rather go at noon then 7pm.

Browns should EASILY be 4-0 right now, with the rest of the division sitting at 2-2. A collection of good talent, but not a good team. Also, there is alot of mediocrity in the NFL right now.

The good old boys club in Norwalk needs a shake up. They have been covering things up and giving special treatment going back to breck turner years. The fact that they have to hire an outside agency to do the administrators job speaks volumes on how the board feels about the current administration. Coaches and current administrators might be looking for a new gig. Never heard this one before... yes, please enlighten us

The Monday swim wasn't new...they did it as the year wound down as a type of recovery...did the same thing the prior year when they made the state semi-finals.

i am hearing alot out of trucker camp. and it goes from problems off the field, to not practicing more than a couple days a week. Where exactly do they stand with leadership from the coaching staff? Because even if you don't have the most athletic person, they still can have a skill level of knowing how to play. Kids are kids.. But at some point someone needs to take the bull by the horns with the program. Didnt they a couple years ago attend some gig instead of practicing for the playoff game? Someone tell me this program is in good hands, because i am not seeing it. Like to hear about the "gig" they attended instead of practicing

Here's another down the road issue... you can only have 2 players on your team who have signed rookie max extension deals...Garland and Mitchell have both done so. What happens in a few years when Mobley is eligible for his extension? Will he take less? Or do you have to trade somebody? But for now, go Cavs!

Love the Cavs, so I hope this works. Just pointing out that people didn't like Garland/Sexton together due to their size, and that doesn't change by bringing in Mitchell. Allen in the middle will help protect the bucket, as can Mobley. Cavs decided they are "all in" which is refreshing.

Great sweep of the Padres, now with a 4 game lead with 40 games to go this is Cleveland's division to lose. Still have 8 games remaining with the Twins, so that lead could shrink/grow quickly depending on those matchups (also 4 games with the White Sox). And we end the year with a 6-game homestand vs the Royals...at least according to the ESPN website...that seems very odd.

With CB numbers added. Mount Vernon 462 =D1 Wooster 433 = D1 Ashland 379 = D1 Madison 351 = D1 Mansfield 346 = D2 New Philly 345 = D2 Lexington 303 = D2 West Holmes 232 = D2 with Norwalk at 362, does this mean Division 1? No, still D2 according to a link I saw on that "other site". It looked like Norwalk and sandusky were 2 of the biggest D2 teams in the state.

Tribe vs White Sox cancelled for 5/11 due to a covid outbreak within the Cleveland organization. It was announced earlier that Tito had tested positive, but it's obviously spread to others on the team. Ugh.

Must admit that I'm shocked the Tribe got this deal done. Jose obviously loves Cleveland and left ALOT of money on the table, considering the top 3B's in the game are making well over $30 million per year currently.
