Yeah, I just woke up from an early Sunday night snooze and see that. Maybe I can sneak tomorrow nights game in on the wife so I can witness my own piece of the history.

Not a baseball fan in any way, but it would be great to see Cleveland win another major sports championship. However, I kind of hope it happens in game six, so they can be at home to celebrate it with their fans...

This looks like a fun competition- wish I was part of it. You can't play for the season championship - hell, I can't play for that now... LOL!!! But you could be a weekly spoiler just to get in and throw some air of superiority around.

Wow! Who would have thought that the last game for these two in the NOL would be with 1-8 records? I'm glad the SBC and NOL are finally combining, but after growing up and playing in the league all those years, I'm a little saddened to see the last football game for the NOL here.
I, much as many of you, will carry great memories to the end of my life of playing in the NOL. I hope they all send the season out in slobberknockers, much as it was during my days on those fields.

THE ONLY reason Cardale won the National title was because of TWO players, not named Cardale. Devin Smith to catch all of the jump balls Cardale threw and the best running back in the NFL today, who average over 230 yards rushing in those 3 games. Ohio State could lose TWO MORE regular season games and there is ZERO chance Urban replaces him. Where did I say JT cared about awards? Just mentioning them to point out that none of the O'Brien committee nor the Heisman committee would even think about replacing JT, just the not knowledgeable would. Let's try again... I am surmising that JT would return to OSU rather than turn pro at the end of the season because he- as the starting QB - has a desire to win a NC with his team. I am surmising that he may feel that he has a mission to complete, much as Mike Doss did in 2002 and hence why Doss returned for his senior year. Thus, I am guessing that JT, who is being portrayed as the natural leader of his team and a stand up guy, will return to lead them his senior year. Clear now?

Rightfully afraid... we'll see if Urban can get the ship righted. I'm starting to wonder if we might still see JT at qb next year, especially if we take another "L" before seasons end. That last second sentence doesn't make you look good. Did you know that the previous week against Wisconsin JT was given the Davey O'Brien Award for the best QB in the country that week? Did you know going into the Penn State game that Ohio State had the most efficient passing game in the Big Ten? Did you know against Penn State JT completed over 65% of his passes and if given the time to throw by his O-line could have easily been over 70%. If there should be any changes it should be on the offensive line. Did you you see how many times JT was sacked or almost sacked and had to throw it away or was flushed out of the pocket? Did you see that 90% of running plays gained fewer than 3 yards? Another change, play  6-2 215 Freshman Austin Mack and 6-4 190 Freshman Victor Binjimen instead of a couple of Ohio State's smallish Senior receivers. If JUST the Ohio State special teams had played average. You wouldn't mistakenly be talking about JT. You don't understand WHY I said that Willy... The mission isn't finished. He had to sit and watch Cardale win a NC... Then last year was..well,last year. And another loss this year would knock them out of the NC pic again. I have a suspicion that JT wants a NC maybe the worst of anyone on the team. I just don't get the feeling that kid cares about an accolade (Davey O'Brien award) you mentioned above, but rather what he can earn (earn is the operative word here) for his team at the end of the day.

Considering what PSU has done on Saturday night in recent years, this would be a trap game IMO. OSU is better, has the bigger, faster athletes, and should mop up Happy Valley with them.....but there is something to be said for a PSU white out on Saturday night under the lights and you know those PSU boys will be gunning. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I'll just keep my smart *** comments to myself this week. Rightfully afraid... we'll see if Urban can get the ship righted. Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Urban Meyer? Favorable. Urban has won me over. I knew he could/would win, but I am more impressed he does those things that build character in his players. That's what gives him the favorable sticker. Not knowing Urban's character well, I expected more slickness to him, but he is quite Tresselish in some respects and for that, I have learned to appreciate the guy. He wins, but there is more to his game.
Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of LeBron James? Favorable, he returned and gave Cleveland what they needed.
Who do you think would win a football game between Ohio State and the Cleveland Browns?
Brownies
Do you approve or disapprove of the Indians’ Chief Wahoo logo? He is a part of the team identity. The "C" as a logo is weak sauce. Approve.

Hazell is a good guy. He was Tressel's head assistant and I really was hoping he would have some success at Purdue...at least enough that he could use it to vault to something else. He'll land on his feet somewhere.

The B1G also has the second firing of a coach midsession this year. Today, Purdue fired Darrell Hazel after they lost to Iowa this weekend. He'll still be paid a $4.45 million buy out, but I honestly was hoping he would be able to right the ship in West Lafayette.

Now that the game is over... anyone else think some of the holding calls were a little ticky-tack and see others that they missed that were kind of blatant..and not just against OSU... but both ways??? I didn't want to sound like spoiled grapes when OSU was losing, but I noticed it in the first half a lot and more so to OSU's detriment, but I was more focused on them at that point as well. I tried to start watching it both ways in the second half and it seemed we had not the best reffing crew in the B1G.

Will Urban make a common opponent score as it appeared Harbaugh did last weekend? Just curious, since meetchicken struggled mightily with that Wisconsin defense... I have my own concerns since Wisconsin has been one of "those teams" that can give the Buckeyes fits since the Woody days. Many years ago, I was at a former Buckeye's wedding, which fell on the day of the Wisconsin game, and most of us there.... him included, were in the kitchen watching the game on the little black and white while OSU barely managed to eke out a tie, 14-14, that day in 1993. Glory be to John Cooper...

Missing the point there torch. There are tons of games at all levels played that mean nothing every fall except to those participants in each individual game. But they will remember playing in a hurricane, and I'm sure it will be a good memory regardless.

So, how many of you are watching Notre Dame play NC State? They are on the outer edge of hurricane Matthew but still playing the game. The field is completely waterlogged and merely holding the ball is a challenge. I'm not sure if state is responsible for playing the game in a hurricane or the referees, but it doesn't really matter. I simply love that they didn't wuss out and decided to go ahead and play the game if possible. It's a memory those young men will never forget win or lose.
