I was going to say that OG doesn't get taken to the shed all that often. Congrats to the Eagles!

Think the NBC champion will come out of the Eastwood/Genoa game on Oct. 20th. It appears Fostoria may have the ability to alter some of this thinking by then....we'll see.

Standings at the halfway point:
5-0, 2-0 Eastwood 4-1, 2-0 Otsego 4-1, 1-1 Fostoria 4-1, 1-1 Genoa 3-2, 1-1 Lake 2-3, 1-1 Rossford 1-4, 0-2 Elmwood 1-4, 0-2 Woodmore
Otsego has given Fostoria and Genoa their only losses, and has a big matchup looming with Eastwood in week 7. Fostoria gets their crack at Eastwood this week.

Not absolutely certain, but I think Fostoria will have their best interior lineman returning this week, after sitting out the first 5 games.

It's weird to me Fostoria competing with these schools after years with Whitmer, Clay, Northview, Napoleon, and then Ross/Findlay.

Has anyone heard a rumor about Elmwood and Woodmore leaving the NBC and Gibsonburg a possible replacement for one of them

It's weird to me Fostoria competing with these schools after years with Whitmer, Clay, Northview, Napoleon, and then Ross/Findlay. I can remember when the Fostoria athletic directors had difficulty finding and scheduling non-conference opponents in northwest Ohio at times. At about that time, Fostoria had the second best all-time won/lost record in Ohio, 2nd only to Massilon Washington. Third on the all-time list was Steubenvile, who quickly surpassed Fostoria, when the Redmen football program went into their period of decline. Times have certainly changed.

redmen62, I don't know about Elmwood and Woodmore but Gibsonburg is joining the SBC river div. in 18-19. They are coming in with Danbury and Hopewell-Loudon the next year.

bighoss, you are right about Hopewell coming in 2018 and you might say that they are coming in for Shelby but they would be playing in the river division as they would move Willard up to the bay division in place of Shelby. At least that's what they are planning unless Willard puts up a fight and maybe leaves the conference. At least that's what I been hearing out there.

I know I'm splitting hairs, but I believe FHS was 3rd. Massillon and McKinley have pretty much been 1-2 in alltime wins for as long as remembered. I remember many of those 80-90s FHS teams as extremely physical and talented athletes with some speed. Don't recall them being that big, but it's the size of the fight in the dog instead of the size of dog in a fight.
