MOAC... I agree you were supportive of my mouth last year. lol But you can't type that paragraph and a father not take it as slight, because it's all opinions. Saying someone wouldn't be as productive as another player who is not even on the same team now, and with the defense they have this year compared to last year. Tanner might not be a true running back, but isn't he the 3rd leading running back in the MOAC right now?? He blast thru the holes; he's due soon for some pretty big runs. That kid is straight up fast! First, I misquoted above, that was Galiontiger who I quoted. Trust me, I know. As I said, I am a dad of a player as well so I know it is easy to get offended. I don't talk about him on here because I'm probably too thin-skinned to take the ribbing you've endured here. You're definitely right that it's just my opinion and what do I know anyway? I just know that football is one of the most team oriented sports and you can have the greatest QB in the world but if all the pieces aren't there, you would end up with a Crestline-esque result as Dude mentioned in his most recent post. Not entirely Chase's fault. I remember when Lebron James played for ASVSM in the state championship. No one could argue that he was twice the player that anyone else was on the court that day. But a TEAM of kids from Roger Bacon, playing as a team won the day. Summary of all that. I think that the team as a whole this year is better because of their unique chemistry which changes every year to a degree. At least half the seniors on that team have played tackle football together since 3rd grade. If Chase was on the team this year, would they be as good or better? Who knows? But this team seems to play together well on offense and the defensive intensity is definitely up as you mentioned. As far as Tanner goes, yep, he's fast. My point of that was not critiquing him, but that you don't really need to be a true position player in the purest sense of the word. You just need to be able to do what that position requires.

I'll just toss this out there. Great players do not go 0-7 at D7 schools. Sorry if I missed something along the way, but who are you referring to?

That's funny, because we fielded like 25 football players and were going up against most teams at like 60 kids. And his brother broke his collarbone the start of the 2nd game of the season who would have been the top receiver in the league that year. ....but of course you are right. ;P

1-9 with 0-10 with 2-8 without 4-6 without HMMMMM? Let me try this: 8-3 with (MOAC and beat up on the leauge) and went to the playoffs 6-5 without (Joined the MOAC..barely made the playoffs with an almost losing record) 9-2 without (played Crestline, Riverdale, Colonel Crawford, Fairbanks. Keystone, Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky) 9-2 without (played the same DIV 6 and 7 teams..lost to MOAC team (North Union) in playoffs).

Just had to clarify that horrible year lol. 2014 team did not play ASVSM or Austintown Fitch. They did play five div 2 teams, the div they were in, and lost by a combined score of 48 to 195. Only two of those teams had a winning record. They played one winning record and one losing record div 3 team. The two div 4 and the div 6 teams had winning records. Probably would have won some games in MOAC. One they wouldn't have won was River Valley. RV won 33 - 7. Talk about the MOAC all you want, but should Harding ever make the play-offs again their record against schools their size is not good.

galiontiger, Good try but to be clear, Made playoffs in 8th spot going 8-2 playing 2 schools with winning records and taking a beat down in game 11. And "beat up on the league" going 5-2 in the MOAC which had 2 teams with winning records.

Are we talking about Galion? Marion Harding. I think GTs post is related to with/without Chase?

hahahaha! Where did Marion Harding come from? haha! .....and we (GALION 2016) didn't get beat up on in game 11 (playoffs) either. We were down 7 points in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Coach Hawkins went for it on 4th and one from like our own 30 yard line...took Chase out as QB brought Fryer in as QB..tried to sneak it off the right side and got stopped. From there it was game over...aahhh quickly. They scored on like the next play or soon after. So no I don't consider that a beat down. A beat down is the Tigers previous 3 Playoff games....for example in 2015 - allowing Triway to score on their own like 45 yard line with like 2 seconds in the first half...on a little 5-7 yard pass. (Yeah! I was there to witness that.) ha! Ended up like 38-7. That's a beat down! ha!

Dude...you got me... I "finally" said something that wrong.. It was (Galion 2015) in game 11.ha! We've all been wrong before and we've all been correct at times. The interesting conversation is how people can see and discuss the same topic but each person can see it in a different way. All good fun in talking sports.
