You know times are tough when your game doesn't even get listed with a poll, like the rest of the other week 8 games! Lol.

Poor ol' pirates. I am going to watch them play Sandusky this year though. I always have to get one in.

Was going to hit up M'ville - NSP again the 28th, but it just so happened that some tickets to the Holy War have landed in my lap. Go Cats! Also, congrats Blue Streaks on a great season.

Perkins 14, Norwalk 0 at the half. I thought something weird was going on - my dog and the neighbor's cat just rented a place together!

Only in Norwalk does it seem like a good idea to run out the only coach who's had success in the last 40 years.
Be careful what you wish for.

You mean the coach that was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time, and be in position to be the head coach when the 3 best classes in NHS history back to back to back came thru NHS?

Those kids were very talented. And at the time, we were playing teams that were not stellar. I understood the motive at the time, give the kids a taste of winning, to hopefully begin building a tradition. But those games did very little to prepare those talented athletes for the post-season. Talented athletes can make even the mediocre coaches look good. Excellent coaches know how to use that talent and make necessary adjustments throughout a game.

Tell me the ONE game that Norwalk has won with him as head coach that they were not expected to win? And give me the record without Turner in the backfield?

that team Turners senior year under-achieved in no way shape or form was clyde better than them. And that in no way is a slap at that Clyde team, Clyde is Clyde. His Jr. year they got ousted by a TC team that had no business beating them. Beating Keystone, western reserve, ect. does not impress me much. This year 2 wins both coming at the expense of D5 downtrodden programs Willard and Margretta. Last week couldn't beat a team that had something like 7 or 8 starting positions not in the game. last night running wildcat 3 straight plays after flipping the field and getting stuffed, then on 3rd and like 19 sticks with the same darn thing? C'mon man.But the tale tale sign of all, is just ask any random senior on the team their thoughts of their coach.

I used maxpreps to look up records. His record at Norwalk with Turner in the backfield for 3 years is 26-6. His record at Norwalk without Turner in the backfield for 6 years is 21-37. Averages about 3.5 wins per year. And Norwalk's non-conference schedule has been pretty easy.

Its awful they have a country club atmosphere, practices are shortened to accommodate food I think they get fed in one way or another every day during the week priorities are so screwed up. Little film study and 50 min practices are a sure way to 2-3 wins when you dont have Turner. Heck Dump could've coached the Turner teams to the same record as that staff.

I know programs are struggling for numbers, but Mac was quoted in the paper earlier as saying they would like to see 12-15 kids per class. So he's satisfied with 36-45 kids in the program right now? It wasn't too long ago that Norwalk was over 100 (which did include frosh). It's concerning to me that kids just aren't going out.

We only got fed before the game, too.

Greenman, you were lucky in your playing days. When I played we had 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. of practice a day but we didn't have any meals served to us after practice let alone after games. If the other teams gave any thing for us to eat it was usually some cookies and they didn't give us any milk to wash those dry cookies down.
