A new season is underway, and it will be interesting to see what the Blue Jackets can do in the year following their best ever record and 3rd playoff appearance.
The are currently 1-1.

Heading into the New year the Jackets sit at 22-15-3, 3rd place in the Metro division

Jackets are currently 36-28-5, 4th place in the Metro, and 1st in the Wild Card race

Jackets just won their 10th straight game. They are now the 3rd team in NHL history to have 10 game winning streaks in back to back years.

45-30-7 was the final regular season record
Columbus finishes as the 1st Wild Card and will face Washington in a first round playoff series that starts on Thursday

The Blue Jackets jumped out to a 2-0 lead, which was the first time in franchise history they have lead a playoff series. This ultimately led to the first time in franchise history that they blew a 2 game series lead, as the Caps won 4 straight to taker the series in 6.
