Gary Bettman doing what he does best. Put a hockey team where it doesn't belong. Las Vegas couldn't support an IHL team or an ECHL team. This is going to be the new Atlanta Thrashers. They will relocate. Possibly to Quebec City

New franchise is official, will begin play in 2017-18.
It'll be interesting to see what they go with for the name....will it be gambling related or will they stay away from that

Here's what they went with....   Many in Las Vegas don't like it that they did not include the "Las" in the official name. It'll be interesting to see what their team's abbreviation will be. LV would have been the obvious choice, but without the "Las" I guess it would have to be something like VGK, VEG or VGS. Or maybe some outlets will just use LV anyway. |
