D4 Region 14 Quarterfinal. This will be the first meeting between these two schools.
This is Bellevue's 18th playoff appearance and 34th playoff game. Bellevue is 9-8 in first round playoff games and 6-5 in Regional Quarterfinal games. This is also the first time the Redmen have made a 4th consecutive playoff appearance.
For Pepper Pike Orange this will be their 2nd playoff appearance, and their other appearance produced a trip to the final 4 in 1988.

Either Pepper Pike Orange is the best kept secret in Division IV or their local news doesn't care to follow them because this is about all I can find on them:
Orange: If the Lions can execute a game winning plan the same way they strung together wins, then representing Region 14 in the state semifinals is probable. Orange is making its second playoff appearance since its playoff debut in 1988 and a run to the state semifinals. BEST FIRST-ROUND GAME No. 5 Bellevue at No. 4 Orange: The Lions worked hard enough to earn a home playoff game and it could pay off. Orange is 5-1 in Pepper Pike as it faces Bellevue, which is 4-2 on the road. Bellevue enters Week 11 with a 7-3 record. Orange fell to Perry (10-0) and beat Wickliffe (7-3). PLAYERS TO WATCH Jake Sonkin, Orange: The senior running back rushed for 1,272 yards and nine touchdowns on 179 carries.

I like Bellevue's chances in this game. They seems to me that Bellevue can really stop the run and it sounds like Orange main weapons is the run. I hope I'm right on this one.

Orange has got a pretty nice facility here. This is also the first time I've had Chick-fill-A from a HS concession stand.
