Wallacefan, I don't know anything about Archbold either, haven't seen them play. If they can't stop Pleasant's running game, it could be a long night.

Glad to see Pleasant is the home team for Friday's game. That will mean a bit of protection from the elements. Damn, the visitors side at Donnell can be brutal if there is any wind blowing.

Wallacefan, I don't know anything about Archbold either, haven't seen them play. If they can't stop Pleasant's running game, it could be a long night. Didn't get up to NWOAL country to watch them this fall...talked to a friend that lives in Stryker and has seen them several times this year. Here's what he said, so TIFWIW: Quick team with speed on the perimeter....runs a spread and are very balanced on offense...very matured seasoned team that won't beat themselves...not big, but make up for it with technique and discipline....solid in just about every facet of the game...about 15 seniors, so an experienced team that won't be rattled much. i asked about the QB situation and he said that with their starter going down in the last game, his twin brother at RB took over (senior) and he is an excellent athlete as well. Not much drop off. Takeaway: They are a very good, solid team and Pleasant will have to beat them, because they won't just roll over. Speed on the perimeter is an issue, especially if the new QB is a solid passer. The question IMO is what Archbold will do with the QB situation and their defensive alignments. Have to think Pleasant won't "reinvent the wheel" but JMO.

Pleasant pulls out an amazing win. Down 24 -21 with 30 seconds left and 99 yards away from the end zone, Pleasant hits a pass for 92 yards. One play later, Warner hits Conklin in the end zone and the Spartans pull out a 28 - 24 win.

Sounds like it was a good game, unlucky for me I thought Archbold would win this game. They almost did but those last seconds heroic efforts did them in. Good game Pleasant and good luck next week.

It was not a good game by Pleasant. They did not win the game so much as Archbold lost it. Pleasant tried very hard to lose that game but were unable to do so. A passing team will kill them. Talk is we will be back at Donnell next Friday also.

Talk is we will be back at Donnell next Friday also. I'd agree with a lot of what you said. If Pleasant's coaches continue to be stubborn and not throw the ball every once in a while, then Eastwood will beat them handily. Also think you're on to something about the game being back @ Donnell. The only other site I could see would be Tiffin, but I think they might use that for Whitmer - Olentangy Liberty or Bellevue - Shelby.

I'm not saying this could happen but I could see Tiffin hosting Shelby- Bellevue game because it pretty much is half way between both schools. Plus everybody would love to see these two hook-up there being that both are SBC teams and Tiffin is a SBC stadium. Plus all three are old NOL foes. The stands will be packed on both sides with SBC'ers and the old NOL'ers.
