Yeah it sucks that Ohio State’s defense allowed Iowa to put up 55 points when they were ranked 103 in offense coming into the game. Hopefully the defense is better this week.

Interesting trend in the OSU/MSU series is that the home team hasn't won since 2007. OSU won in East Lansing in 08, 12, 14 an 16, and MSU won in Columbus in 11 and 15 (plus the B1G title game in 13)
OSU leads the all-time series 30-14

Baker Mayfield would just say, oh well I will put up 62 and get the win. That's what Mayfield did last Saturday when his defense gave up 52. Looks like Urban should have recruited Mayfield or he could do what most of us have called for and bench JT and play a QB at QB instead of a noodle arm at QB.

Actually I just hope the whole team plays better. Offense, defense, special teams, even the coaching. We have more talent and better coaches now go show it.

If Urban benched JT after OKl, Willy would have went postal. How do you bench your starting qb!!!!! Real easy.

In 2016 JT Barrett threw for 86 yards vs Michigan State In 2015 JT Barrett threw for 46 yards vs Michigan State
It's going to be in the 30's Saturday, let me guess the excuse when JT Barrett throws for 73 yards will be it was cold and Urban wanted him to take care of the ball. Meanwhile MSU will probably throw for 200 yards and win.

Something kind of interesting to watch is the line on this game. started at OSU-16 and went down to -14.5 and now back up to -17. It seems immediately to the naked guy to be Very Very off one would think. The guys setting this line aren't stupid,, there has to be a reason. I'm not sure where it is coming from other than possibly Urbans' record after a loss,,or MSU coming off an emotional win vs PSU. Either way,,I think OSU wins and JT plays well. I think JK gets the ball a lot more and if MSU looks to stop him,,then our receivers will be open.

it's a damp cold 25 right now
JT might get lucky with a noon kickoff, if the sun is out it could possibly creep up into the mid-high 40s by halftime, but any breeze we get is going to be awful.

WHO BENCHES AN UNDEFEATED NATIONAL CHAMPION QUARTERBACK FOR NOT PLAYING WELL?? if Harbaugh did that you guys would SKEWER him! My memory is probably faulty but I think there was a lot of criticism of Cardale even though the Buckeyes were winning in 2015. Holding the ball too long, not accurate downfield, slower running the ball than the previous season, etc. Then JT came into games off the bench and looked really good. I assume he was also doing well in practice. For those reasons Urban thought JT gave OSU a better chance to win. Also at that point, JT had not lost any games either (except the VA Tech game in 2014-2nd game as a freshman). I don't remember there being a lot of disagreement from the media in Columbus about the decision. I guess you think if Cardale plays against MSU then the Buckeyes win in 2015? The decision may not have worked out but I can't really fault the logic. This week we have JT because I can't see how any other QB on the roster gives us a better chance. Perhaps you see the current QB situation differently?

According to Intellicast- 35 (feels like 30), Wind at 6 mph out of the ESE. At 3pm the prediction is 39. And 0% chance of precipitation. So yes possibly good news!

J....T....Barrett! Nice scoring drive culminating with play-action keep and run by Barrett. Up two scores is a nice start.

Targeting calls have gotten out of hand. An unintentional helmet contact should warrant a much lesser call, or no call whatsoever.

Yeah, seems like we can't get out of a game anymore without one of these stupid targeting calls
but anyway, who would have expected a 35-3 halftime lead today

Well why was the game plan last week to throw it? Run every down last week like this week and Iowa would have been beaten.
JT is NOT a thrower that's why the NFL doesn't want him, he's an adequate runner and a below average passer, yet Urb thought calling pass plays for noodle arm was the thing to do last week. This team isn't a playoff team with a very poor vertical passing game. But it's an utter embarrassment how they could lose a Big Ten game to a completely inferior opponent talent wise like Iowa. MSU has better talent than Iowa.
Looks like 10-2 and a Big Champ game vs Wisconsin. If OSU chooses to run it 80% of the time vs Wisconsin then 11-2. If OSU chooses to feature JT Barrett's arm vs Wisconsin then it will be 10-3.

The Ohio State team that we’ve been waiting for all season finally showed up. Special teams, defense, and offense.

Even the Fox announcers commented on the inconsistent game plans of last week versus this week, Why we abandoned the run last week. This game was scheduled to be on eSECpn, I guess they thought Arkansas @ LSU was more attractive than any B1G game.

45 points is the biggest margin of victory Ohio State has ever had against Michigan State

Last week, played as poorly as one could ever imagine, in every phase of the game. This week, played superior football, in every phase of the game.
Last week, a poorly designed game plan, with total lack of execution. This week, looked like a well conceived and executed game plan.
