D4 Region 14 Championship - Location TBA
Shelby won the first game 46-0. This will be the 75th meeting between these 2 teams, and the first time they have met in the playoffs. So after having 73 consecutive league matchups we end up having our first non league game and first playoff game in the same season. Bellevue leads the all-time series 37-35-2.
This is Bellevue's 9th Regional Final appearance (3-5) and Shelby's 3rd (0-2)

I'd say Tiffin but Eastwood vs Pleasant may be competition for that site. Ashland would be my second guess. Not a third option out there IMO.

I could see them playing at Tiffin. That's halfway for both schools and each school knows the field real well. That will be something both schools are SBC, Tiffin's stadium is also an SBC stadium. So let's just make it an SBC affair and every fan of the SBC pack the stadium and have a family gathering. Oh also both teams and stadium are also from the old NOL. Watch out for us old timers from those days.

Damn, the year Shelby and Bellevue play their first ever neutral site game just has to be the year immediately before Willard debuts a new turf field. Hmm, do guys think you can get it installed by Friday?

Bellevue: If, and that is a mighty BIG if, they will have to bring in a lot of concrete in to build more stands with that large crowd coming to the game.

I am thinking that if this game is at Tiffin, which it should be, that would mean Whitmer/Olentangy would have to move. I'd think Findlay would make sense for them, so then you'd have to move Eastwood/Pleasant. To Clyde?

I would think Tiffin also, but we would take it at Arlin! Probably Massillon/New Albany for us. Go Whippets. Whippet Good.

Don't worry that sorry Football stadium is going to be rebuilt as a Premier Soccer Venue with enormous stands that we expect at Willard Soccer games in the near future. It just won't be ready by this Friday.

Has anyone ever ran the clock on the same opponent twice in one year? Because it might happen Friday.

OHSAA doesn’t allow a team to play on same field twice in playoffs. Don't know where you got that. We've had several games where teams played more than once at Arlin. Whitmer comes to mind and Kenton. Whitmer plays another Olentangy school this week and they were at Tiffin last week. We shall see tomorrow, but sites tend to leak out early!

Maybe the SBC isn't as weak as those nay-sayers say if they are representing the Region's championship...? #grumblegrumble

Ashland makes more sense to me as a neutral site. Tiffin is closer to Bellevue, the lower seed. Arlin would be nice. It’s got the room and would draw a lot of ticket buyers. Most of Richland County’s football faithful would be there. More if it were Shelby/CF, but I still think turnout would be big in Mansfield.

People keep talking about Ashland as a site, but Ashland hasent hosted a playoff game in several years and I'm not sure at this point they are even a site that is approved by the OHSAA. Could be wrong but my guess is if they want the Mansfield area it will probably be Madison that hosts. I would also see Ashland Univeristy before Ashland High school

That’s what I was told last night at game. Wherever it is, better be a large stadium. Both teams will bring the whole town

Also, it should be noted that Bellevue will have the home team designation for this game

Tiffin will be hosting Liberty Benton and Hillsdale. Ashland? Surely not Mansfield (Senior or Madison), right?

Welp I guess Ashland will do. As an Ashland fan glad to have this game in town. I have seen a lot of big games at Ashland and none of them have come close to filling the place completely. Should be plenty of room for everyone.
