13 years is quite a drought, since that list covers 43 years and the 2nd longest gap was 7. 13 years is way to long for this program but we don't have coach hass or all ohio players. After nossamen had his run and he always had a all ohio guard the program took a big hit.with 3 starters returning next year I look for us to be right there again for a big season.

"The program" is no longer "The program", after Haas left. Noss had a "program" that was less than half as long as Haas had, then he left for bigger and better things. EVERY coach either creates or does not create his OWN "program". After 10 years under the same coach you can then talk about a "program" again, IF it is deserving.
If it requires very good players to have a "program" why wasn't Hirschy and Long given a chance to get very good players?

He had to leave because his wife was very ill.as it goes for Chris his win totals kept declining year after year and got ran out of town.

I hesitate to say how good this team looks to me. However it does validate my eyes and gut when I watched them in the first quarter v Upper. I looked at my friend and said ‘I think we’re pretty damn good?’ Then the next 3 quarters happened. We certainly are a different team now, I just hope they keep it up it’s a lot of fun. Ok we were and are pretty damn good. I’ve still got it.

Nowalk without Haraway and Perkins isn't Perkins of the past.
Ontario has 2 openings. Ontario should be better next year and even better in 2 years.

Speaking of Willard, does anyone have a roster of the 1992/93 Basketball team? I don't remember who it was, but the flashes that year had a decent frontline and they could all play inside and out. There were three or four players who were 6'3 to 6'5, I believe two of them were Rod Danhoff and Josh Sanders but I don't remember the other two, Noah Feltner? Dustin Adams? Mark Ward? Those guys could fly.

You do realize that none of the people commenting on this thread are playing or coaching on Wednesday right?
Our coaches will have those kids dialed in I'm sure of it. Next year is the furthest thing from peoples' minds' aside from a passing comment anyway.

I heard that some of the players had tests and quizzes today. There goes any chance of winning, how could we possibly win now since the players had to think about where Angola is on a map instead of about the Coldwater game.

Are you stating that a player (in any sport) should get a pass, because of a big game, on school work? I'm one of the biggest supporters here but extracurricular activities should never take priority over any school work, regardless of what sport. That is like saying the lead in a play should not take test or quizzes on the night of the big show.

That lead in a play does not provide funding for 10 other activities the school provides. The basketball players can do that though. They should get a pass, make the drama kid study.

Now that the basketball team has returned Willard to the glory days, the passes are as easy to get as a carrot in Celeryville.
