An excellent choice!

I haven't been on the forums or in the loop for awhile, so I didn't realize Coach Gedeon had resigned last month. First, I want to thank Coach Gedeon for his 23 years of service, and to state this was a GREAT hire for Ross to nab Cahill.

Coach Cahill's first game as Ross head coach was a 68-58 loss to Anthony Wayne

That's actually not as bad as I thought against AW. AW has a winning culture in money sports these past 6-7 years

I wonder now if many think that's an excellent choice; Ross very much in danger going 3-20 this year. For those who tired of Gedeon, his teams didn't do THAT bad.

It may take more than 11 games to turn it around.

I agree, and I think this was still a great hire. But, I Know how some of the "faithful" are in Fremont.

I was being nice with "faithful." My initial thought was idiot(s).

Just like Jake, or maplecityfan, or whatever screen name he chooses to use, I no longer live in Fremont. But I do have nephews who play both football and basketball at Ross, and other family members who are involved in the community, and school district. Just like the hire of Superintendent Detweiler, the hire of Coach Cahill has been, AND STILL IS, a popular hire within the community.

Unfortunately, the asylum in Fremont eventually takes hold. I'm glad you brought up Detweiler; couldn't agree with you more.

Didn't want to start new thread, but evidently, Lima REALLY wanted the TRAC title. Spartans beat Little Giants, 122-67.

Still out. Hush hush about why he isn't playing. Hope he's back by tourney time but other guys are getting minutes. Making us better all around.

Ross' season ends with a 69-65 loss to the Ashland Arrows. Little Giants finish 19-20 at 7-16 after 5-18 in 18-19. How long before Cahill gets ran out of town?

Cahill isn't going anywhere. And, I certainly hope not. They need more people in the system like him.

They will probably wait a lot longer on the basketball coach. 1 Playoff win(37 years ago) and a police escort leading Football team out of City when Ross last made playoffs (2014) tells me to take off the pressure.
