I miss the old Willard D1 Sectional. Ashland is now the only D1 school close, and they end up traveling 2 hours to Toledo to play a sectional game. Really wish Northwest Ohio would move to allow the higher seeds to have home games. Northeast D1 Region and Columbus Region both have home games for the sectional round. No casual fan is going to drive 2 hours on a work night to watch a sectional basketball game.
After watching that game I think Colonel Crawford has a good chance to be playing on March 12 and 15.
I hope you are right in your assesment of cc’s chances of advancing that far. Lex is a very good, balanced, and just deep enough team to make another run this year as well. It seemed like they shot very well other nite against cc and if shoot that well in tournament’s c-bus not out of question for them again this year. Stover is an athletic beast and can’t wait to see him in scarlet and grey next year on the football field. Good luck to lex in tournament.
If you were there you would know there were a lot of "no calls" through out the entire game.
All games have no calls. A good ref will tell you sometimes a call is not made if there is no advantage gained because they would rather not stop play. I was there. The no call on the charge definitely gave a team the advantage. From my viewpoint the veteran crew gave the lead with that call and then screwed the home team on the next play on the inbound.
