On to week 3 we go. It really is the fastest 10 weeks of the year. Week 3 features a longtime series being renewed as Upper and Galion played for 70 straight years and both left the NOL for the NCC and both joined the MOAC at the same time. Galion leads the all time series and has won the last six meetings with the last one occurring in 2014. This is Galion’s first trip to USHS since 2012. The Tigers are 2-0 and defeated Carey 35-26 in week 2, and Upper is also 2-0 and defeated Mt. Gilead 40-0 in week 2. Thoughts on this one.....

My question is how did anyone with MOAC in their name pick CC over NU?

Did anyone expect this to be two undefeated teams?

I expected Galion to be undefeated. Upper beating RV wasn't exactly the upset of the century.

Galion 20 Upper Sandusky 0 at halftime. Tigers giving up yards but bending but not breaking. They have not had to punt but have turned over twice. Sloppy conditions out here both teams have turned over a couple times and had some snapping issues.

34-0 Galion is the final. A much closer game than the score indicated. Upper turned the ball over 7 times. Upper moved the ball a lot against Galion but could not find the end zone. They said on the radio that Galion’s QB ran for something like 187 yards and passed for over 100 more. The real test will be next week when the Tigers host Pleasant. We will see exactly where the Tigers are after that one.

Agree. I can't help but think that comparing Galion tonight to Galion from the last two weeks is really much of a comparison. A bit like comparing apples to oranges...… :-)

Very sloppy game by both teams. I was afraid that Galion would have a letdown after last weeks "big" win and in many areas they did. Hard to lose a game the other team turns it over 7 times.

True. Galion played a sloppy game by all means. There was a letdown. Let’s hope they bring their A game next week.
