On to week 4 we go. The 3-0 Pleasant Spartans will invade Heise Park as they take on the 3-0 Galion Tigers. Galion beat Upper 34-0 in week 3 and Pleasant defeated Worthington Christian 40-0. Pleasant has defeated Galion in 3 of the 4 all time meetings including a 45-21 win against Galion at home last year. Thoughts on this one.....

Weather will be the deciding factor.

It won't matter what the weather is. We don't have enough offensive firepower to beat Pleasant. Our qb can't be our primary source of rushing, he won't survive the season. We just don't have that kid with game breaking speed that we've had in the past to hit the perimeter or take the top off the defense. Now don't get me wrong we have plenty of kids who can catch the ball well and our qb is MUCH more accurate than in years past. We can definitely win 6 to 7 games with this team depending on how BV and Harding shake out which I would be extremely pleased with.

i expect harding and galion to be close game when play in couple weeks. have really underperformed last couple weeks. but i was wondering other day how chase was doing as well. GT hasn’t been on here much i don’t believe. I’ll take pleasant by 14 in this one. Not sure how good pleasant is exactly but we’ll see.

I think this will be a good measuring stick game for Galion. I think Pleasant will win but if the Tigers can keep it closer, then they aren’t as far away from the big boys in the MOAC. The conference probably goes through Clear Fork imo.

If Galion can stop the ground attack from Pleasant, then I like Galion's chances. Pleasant is, IMHO, a ground first - air second offense. If Pleasant gets it's ground game going, even with just average success (by their standards), then it'll be a long night for the Tigers. If Galion wins, it'll be a "squeaker".

16-7 Pleasant is the halftime score. Galion hanging tough with them so far. Galion had the ball and was driving 1/2 way through second quarter down 8-7 and then turned the ball over. Pleasant promptly scored after. A much lower scoring 1st half than I thought we’d have.

A few thoughts on this one. I knew Galion would have their hands full and this proved to be correct. Pleasant has a very solid running game with several kids and they all run well. Their linemen aren’t the biggest but very athletic. Galion has a decent team but Pleasant was definitely the better team. To me the biggest difference is they have much better running backs than Galion does. They didn’t pass much but they didn’t have to. I figured Galion would score some points, their offense has not had a problem with that. On to River Valley and week 5.
