On to Week 6 we go and the Marion Harding Presidents visit Heise Park to take on the 3-2 Galion Tigers. Harding is 1-4 and was defeated by Pleasant 34-0 last week while Galion lost 24-7 at River Valley. Harding was won 2 of the 3 meetings since joining the MOAC including 44-21 last year. Thoughts on this one.....

It is very hard to say this but after watching the Presidents for the first 5 weeks, I believe Galion will take this one 24-0. Harding has zero offense, and defensively can’t stop the big play.

The offense will need to stop sputtering also they have been inside the 30 15 times, inside the 20 10 times and only have 28pts to show for it."
Seems they have not been able to follow your advice.

I think Galion wins 28-7 or so, like eagle said. Harding can’t stop the big play or a lick of offense.

Galion 17 Harding 14 at halftime. Galion has moved the ball all half not punting once. Galion has lost 3 turnovers and they have been very costly, leading to all 14 Harding points.

Harding misses field goal with 5 seconds remaining. Galion holds on to win 31-28.

Harding misses game tying field goal, was under a 25 yarder. Galion wins 31-28. Harding looked better then past weeks but couldn’t finish after having it 1st and goal

Marion has two legitimate chances left to get a win when they play the Valleys. Clear Fork and NU should handle Marion.

A few thoughts on this one. The 3 Galion turnovers in the first half really hurt them as Harding turned them into 14 points. Could’ve easily been 21 as Harding turned over on downs deep in Galion territory on a play where the receiver was wide open in the end zone and dropped it. Galion struggled mightily on the runs outside and on pass plays. Their coverage isn’t the best. The offense on the other hand, never punted and only turned over on downs once in the fourth quarter. Deep in Harding territory giving them the ball with a 3 Point Galion lead. And of course the 3 turnovers. I’m not sure what to make of Galion for sure. At times they looked really good and at times not good at all. Next week will be ugly at Clear Fork. The other 3 could be interesting games.
