For the 2nd straight week Ontario is playing a game that will be both the 2nd and final matchup in a brief MOAC series.
BV won last year 34-20.

No admission charged for this game. A local benefactor is picking up the tab.

No admission charged for this game. A local benefactor is picking up the tab. Why would a player's dad write a check to cover this cost? Have the previous home games not been well attended?

Very well attended. Most of the new athletic stuff has been donated. Probably a tax write off.

It's really not a true donation when the person paying gets to tell the recipient what to do.
"I'll give you _ _ _ _, IF I get what I want."

The "recipient" is every person who gets in free, 100% of their cost. The athletic department will gain a small % more than the normal gate for this game.
What does the benefactor want from all of us who have the most to gain?

He has a HUGE pile of money, he has written MANY checks over the past several years. I have several relatives in Lexington that are quite disappointed checks aren't being written to their school district as well.

Why do we keep saying a dad??? Why does it matter what people do with their money. Its a good thing for many people. As far as season ticket holders are we a college team or a pro team, Who buys season tickets? Most schools sell some sort of working pass via the boosters and the school may offer a student pass I don't know of any season passes.
I hate the fact that this is even a topic when it sounds like a guy with cash wants to spend a little.

No one has already purchased a ticket. There is no pre-sale for this game. The benefactor would be MORE than happy to refund money to season ticket holders. Though no Ontario season ticket holder cares like you do. It would be pocket change for him to refund season ticket holders as well. I have an All Sports pass. When Clear Fork plays at Ontario in football AND basketball the next 5 years I'll leave it at the ticket booth for you to use and I'll buy my own tickets. All you have to do is send me a PM and let me know if you're going to be there. "Does Ontario have outside graduations"?? What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?? Being such a hater is not very becoming.

Allow me to further educate you and your little dude. His business is located in Lexington. The Lex school district gets all of the taxes from his industrial complex, but some want personal checks as well. A check for new uniforms is a small portion of the checks of $1.5 Mill written. Checks have been written for more than football stuff. A big one for computers. Think about it, the more donations for football means more money from the booster club can go for other sports. What do you suppose the score board cost?

Even if you don't like football there's going to be a big fireworks display after the game.

Another reason.
Ontario Middle School marching band is performing with the high school band at this game. Probably half of the parents of the 200 kids have never been to a football game and only want to see their kids at halftime. Free admission allows mom and dad, brothers and sisters, grandparents and aunts and uncles to watch the young musicians.

BV has a nice looking QB, when the O-line protects. Ontario did a decent job covering their WR's, but the TB was often uncovered out of the back field. His long TD run was the back breaker. As has happened many times this year. Ontario's speedy little WR, punt returner, kickoff returner gets his team in scoring position with a big play and the offense can't punch it in. Twice Ontario had the ball 1st down on the 2 yard line and couldn't score a TD. They have a 260 FB, not once was he given the ball in those situations.

Scoreboard about $160.

His companies[sic] taxes being reduced, is a standard bargaining chip these days. If they weren't he would have built his new factory elsewhere.
You haven't seen the new score board. 160 x 50 closer.

Duh it's a bargaining chip but it refutes your statement of the district getting taxes. I was talking thousands of dollars.

Duh it's a bargaining chip but it refutes your statement of the district getting taxes. I was talking thousands of dollars. Refutes nothing. You type sloppily, leaving the impression your mind is sloppy. They ARE getting some property taxes, just not all of them, and they will get more in the future on a negotiated schedule, until they get them all. NOTHING unusual about that. ALSO, Lexington will get ALL of the payroll taxes, ALL of the corporate taxes. Also ALL of the income taxes from the additional employees that live in Lexington. Also sales taxes of employees who leave elsewhere but buy things in Lexington as they come and go. What IS unusual is your number system. Zero's are extremely important when talking dollars. If your salary is a one-thousand $s/week and someone leaves a zero off you check you would go running to accounting. <iframe width="24.62000000000012" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 24.62000000000012px; height: 2.9200000000000017px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_23756511" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.62000000000012" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 24.62px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1170px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_57169973" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.62000000000012" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 24.62px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_82723194" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.62000000000012" height="2.9200000000000017" style="position: absolute; width: 24.62px; height: 2.92px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1170px; top: 87px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_55756977" scrolling="no"></iframe> BTW, I thought the benefactor's checks might stop after his only child graduates this year. But I heard today that he plans to donate two $2500 scholarships a year to football players. One to an offensive player and one for a defensive player. In hopes of encouraging young boys to play football.
