Anyone remember the Bigfoot pizza from Pizza Hut back in the early 90's Yes, I was in Management with the Company at the time. It was basically a value pizza. Not the greatest quality.

I have always liked Pizza Hut as a mass chain pizza place. I have noticed that certain pizzas taste cheaper than the expensive ones.

Stopped at Mazza's in Mount Vernon, wife and I split a pepperoni pizza it was quite good. Friends of ours got a Butcher & Baker pizza he said one of the meats on it had a weird taste, had me try it. Wow it was terrible don't know what that meat was on it but it was disgusting. Must have been opossum meat. I would say the place is well worth stopping at but stay away from the Butcher.

Stayed with some family in Waverly this weekend, went to the Lucasville Trade Days. Never been to a flea market that sold so many birds. Chickens, ducks, geese, quail you name it. Kind of strange. Well back to why I am posting on here. Friday night after the football game we got a couple of pizzas, from two spots Lloyd's Pizzeria and Cardo's Pizza. They were very similar to each other but different than most any I have had up north. They had kind of a chewy tough cracker style crust. Not in a bad way both were very good, great flavor wish they were closer. At least a 8.5 out of 10 for both. So similar I don’t know which to say was better. Wonder if one was a copycat of the other.

Talking about pizza chains, what do you guys think about Beer Barrel Pizza and Grille? Their pizza's look rather unique and I like their offerings of interesting bourbon's in various forms of beverages.

Have not made it to a Beer Barrel, heard good things about it.
Traveling on 80-90 last week, stopped at Mancino's Pizza in Holland near, Toledo.Their pizza has great sauce, crust was a bit floppy and greasy for my taste. Looks looks like they would have a really good sub with that sauce. They make their own buns, looked like Leaning Tower without the sesame seeds.

It's in the Spring Meadows Shopping Mall. Can't go to Sam's without eating at The New Empire chinese restaurant on the corner of the 4 way stop. Always great.

Toledo area, made me remember a pizza place we ate at after stopping at the Maumee Antique Mall, Mama Mary's Pizza. it was very unmemorable, not that great from what I recall. Nice big Antique Mall, worth stopping, but try a different pizza joint if you go.

In Hot Springs, AR for a week of R&R. Tried SQZBX Pizza tonight. A bit pricey, but tasted good after a long drive. They have both cup-n-curl pepperoni and roasted garlic on the items list, so life is good. Will patronize again/10.

Last night in Hot Springs, beautiful wife and I settled on Rocky's Corner. Entire inside of the joint is a Chicago sports fan's dream... and they even play both sides of the MLB fence. Chicago-style zza on the menu, what came out of the oven was not quite Chicago-style deep-dish, but it was quite good and we enjoyed it muchly. Very similar to Pizza Brothers right down to the square cut but with a better crust. As a bonus, it was much less expensive than SQZBX. No cup-n-curl roni and no roasted garlic as items, but they did have crumbled meatballs.

Was in Huntington Indiana to watch a BB game a while back. We were told by some locals Z-Place Pizza was the place to go, so we tried it. Super thin hard cracker crust, it was ok, but not my favorite.

that would be much healthier, fewer carbs, but no one eating pizza is worrying about that

In Troy, IL tonight, just east of St Louis. Returned to Joe's Pizza for one of their solid Chicago-style pies. Tried them for the first time last year, a little surprised I didn't put something here then. Interestingly, they forgot to cut my pie into slices last year I had to borrow a knife from the hotel hahaha. Anyhow... they do a decent Chicago-style, it got to the hotel room HOT, and it tasted great again. Mushrooms, double pepperoni, and double garlic. Their fried shrooms are interesting... they slice them vertically before deep-frying in a VERY tasty batter, it has lots of garlic into it. Fantastic... and looking forward to the return trip.

Shopping with the wife at Indian Mound Mall in Heath we decided to stop at Massey's Pizza and try it. Sorry can't report on the pizza, after standing there for 15 minutes waiting to be seated we gave up and left, unreal how bad the service is getting these days.
