On to Week 8 we go and the North Union Wildcats travel to Heise Park to take on the Galion Tigers. North Union comes in 5-2 fresh off a 34-7 win over Marion Harding while Gore comes in at 4-3 losing 69-35 to Clear Fork last week. North Union defeated Galion 68-26 last year. This will be the final meeting between these schools with North Union essincially out of the MOAC at this point. North Union leads the series 3-2 all time, but this will only be the second time they have played in Unckrich Stadium. Thoughts on this one.....

What's with the new avatar did you lose a bet? I didn’t lose a bet. I wanted the chief especially since he is about to go extinct.

I was referring to Chief Wahoo being retired.

This mama is happy to not have anyone on the team going to Unckrich Stadium///Heise Park on Friday. My sons left Galion with a broken arm (that was a 2014 JV game), a messed up hip (2015 varsity game), a messed up ankle sliding into 2nd (2015 baseball) and a pulled hammy at a track meet in 2016. If you want to add a twisted ankle at last year's MOAC XC meet at the dam on Rt 309 for my niece, we can count that too. Somehow, our crew always leave Galion with an injury, haha, here's hoping for an injury free game for both teams Friday night.

I was referring to Chief Wahoo being retired. You can still buy the gear they just won’t be wearing it on the uniforms anymore.

Both teams battling for a playoff spot. NU has an easier road to hoe, but Galion is still alive. NU by 14.

I think it will be close, like, maybe a 10 point difference between them. I just don't see a blowout.

Should that be "infused" instead of "induced"?

North Union 49 Galion 35 final. Galion’s lack of defense cost them once again. NU ripped off many big plays and that was the difference in this one.

Galion could simply NOT stop North Unions running game (AT ALL). NU must have had, at the very least, 450 - 500 yards of ground offense. Galion's D was like swiss cheese, full of holes.
Conversely, they (NU) really didn't need or have to throw it much at all, so I doubt they had 100 yards through the air. Galion ought to finish at .500 again this year...……….yawn.
