Sandusky ends the season with a cherry on top of one of the biggest slides in recent memory. The meltdown-trainwreck finishes 5-5.

Sandusky wins, creating a 3-way tie for last place with Bellevue (if they lose to Clyde) and Perkins. Oh the excitement, thank god it's week 10. I figured Perkins would be in last, I didn't think Sandusky and Bellevue would be with them.

Believe it or not the Streaks still have a realistic shot at the playoffs. They could get the 7 or 8 seed with a win Fri. They are #6 right now.

Pasteur even has them with a 61% chance of making it with a loss (and 95% with a win)

If Perkins plays this correctly they could play the role of spoiler. Game plan should be to put a spy or even 2 on #4. Make them beat you some other way. If Perkins comes out and plays 4 quarters of football and keeps #4 in check, it could be a close game. We'll see which Perkins team shows up. I'm tempted to pick them to win, but we will see.

good thing you aren't coaching heavy, 2 spies??? haha
Perkins can win if they control the ball, limit the touches stewart gets. Also just need to be more disciplined, Sandusky has none.

Our season's been like roller coaster with Sandusky and injuries, what not.We just gotta play hard Friday against a a quality perkins team, play hard for 4 quarters and see what hapens.A win will put us in right frame of mind for off-season and if we get playoffs, that's a big if, we can use as stepping stone for next year.

Sandusky should win but I truly believe they need some new blood. Franklin has been there long enough, yes, he has had some good years but kids are not responding to him. A huge piece of his success is now the head coach of New London and that is because that coach could connect with the kids.

If Sandusky loses this one they need to fire Franklin period. This has to be the biggest trainwreck I’ve seen in this area in my lifetime.

Our season's been like roller coaster Usually that metaphor refers to having multiple ups and downs, which isn't all that accurate to describe Sandusky's season thus far (but does describe the coaster named after them) Though this comment would be pretty accurate if you specify that the roller coaster is Top Thrill Dragster... (and if they win this week then lose in week 11 it would become Kingda Ka)

I was going to say 11, but I thought that a bit much😉 The only reason I jokingly said 2was there is not one linebacker on the Perkins team that can handle that kid, but I guess the sarcasm was not obvious enough. It will definitely be a battle of 2 undisciplined teams.

I believe Sandusky will win. Perkins is ready for BB. Doesn't really matter though because even if the Streaks make the playoffs, I think they're "one and done."

Several of them are teachers or hold other positions within the school district. Congrats to Sandusky, and good luck in week 11.

In my opinion, he has underachieved. He had some good years with the help of Quisno but he hasnt done anything else outside of that. His wins are down and the biggest issue is his lack of numbers in the program. I understand there are more factors but it doesn’t look good for awhile for Perkins. A new coach can ignite a flame under more kids. Look at what tiffin and norwalk has done. I just don’t see many reasons as to why you can keep him.

A new coach can ignite a flame under more kids. Look at what tiffin and norwalk has done. I just don’t see many reasons as to why you can keep him. I really want to hope that this is Zeigler's last season, but reality is he will be there for at least a couple more years. Like I stated in previous posts a majority of these coaches are teachers, and for them to be removed from this coaching position a teaching position would have to be opened up in order to accommodate a new coach. Now if a coach was to come in and strictly be a coach for the program that would be a different story, but this is not very common. Of the coaches we have on staff right now only 3 do not hold an educational position at Perkins high school. Of those 3, 2 are coaches in another sport. It's s good ol boys network, and Matt Smith is charged with breaking it up, good luck with that. Zeigler was a loser from day one, I have a some of friends who played football with him at Ashland, all 4 say he's a mental midget. His previous players come back and talk down on him to current players as well. He knows all this, I told him personally. He really doesn't care or is too stupid to comprehend what I'm telling him. You reap what you sow when you tell good players that "I don't need you I have numbers, or why do you think you're way up here when your down here. IDK. I know if Perkins wants to win to win again they'll get rid of Ziegler first and foremost.

Just got word that their best bb player (also their best WR, and a standout track kid as well) is leaving for another school. Junior WR Clinton is by far the fastest and most sure-handed receiver that Perkins has. This is another serious blow to a program that is already down. There will be more that quit or leave for other schools before the beginning of the 2019 season.
