D3 Region 10 Championship - Friday at 7:00 - Location TBA
Norwalk won the regular season matchup 52-35
This is Norwalk's first appearance in a regional championship game, however, if they win it will be their 2nd regional title. This is Sandusky's 6th appearance in a regional championship game, they are 2-3 in their previous 5, and a win would give them their 4th regional title.

i was at those 1990 playoff games for sandusky... i remember massillon booing their own team, if i remember right that was at akron rubber bowl.. the 88 game with whitmer was at strobel field..that was kinda a shocker..sandusky was loaded! they just couldnt stop whitmer! norwalk's state championship i have on dvd.. they had a great running game..

Scary thing about rematches? Winner says "we put up 52 on these guys, why change anything with the game plan from the first time we played them?" Loser says " we need to figure out how to stop what they did to us last time." Advantage: loser from first game. But, I think Norwalk wins in a really close game. Can't wait!!! Going to be a classic.

.Unless something changes between the two teams injury or discipline wise. History shows that the winner of the first match up usually wins the second meeting. In this case something has changed since the first match up. Sandusky will have Cordell Irby and Tevin Stewart back for this one. Imo that changes a lot about this match up.

Is #52 for Sandusky a freshmen?

Just like any rematch, the ability to make adjustments is what wins the game. I still think the first game was a very evenly matched game. I still think that if the Blue Streak team from last week shows up they will be hard to beat.

I think we are all in for an exciting hard fought game.
While the Norwalk team is young and inexperienced when it comes to play-offs - their coaching staff is not. Coach Fox and his assistants know what needs to be done, and I believe they will have their guys prepared.
I would like to see another big Norwalk win, however I think it will be much closer than the first time.

Norwalk is good but keep in mind that stewart the senior didn’t play much because it was his first game back and Sandusky had two linebackers who didn’t play and one was irby who is best defensive player on team. It will be a good game. Raymore is a stud and Sandusky has to match physicality of Norwalk, could come down to kickers

I’m guessing it comes down to the wire unless one team decides to turn it over 2-3 times.

I know this region is weaker than most years, but I get the feeling D3 is a little down now this year too. Crazy to think the SBC will have a final four team who will prob match up with Kenston/Canfield winner.
This game imo will be at Perkins. I suppose maybe Huron. Perkins is a better venue IMO.
Boy did Fox walk into a nice situation at Norwalk with two D1 transfers and getting some kids back out. Albeit they have them playing well.
Prediction: Sandusky 42 Norwalk 41 , they go for two to win it and get stopped.

Honestly w these two teams anywhere that’s been mentioned — Huron, Bellevue, or Perkins — is going to be equal. Because these two teams are 20 minutes apart there’s no disadvantages to any of those stadiums based on travel.

I’m hoping for Bellevue for this site.

I know I sound like a "homer", but of the 3 possible game sites mentioned (Huron, Bellevue, Perkins) Perkins is the nicer stadium of the three, plus they have closer parking.

I think Perkins would be a great spot for this game.

Willard Stadium could be a contender as well, although I really believe it's going to be at Bellevue or perhaps Huron.

what i find interesting it was in my knowledge between Bellevue, Clyde, Huron for this game.. awarded to bellevue because it is more "neutral of the three" Bellevue actually would be the most logical place for the TCC-Avon game as far as neutral..
the distance from middle of norwalk to middle of huron and middle of sandusky to middle of huron is closer in miles traveled for both than bellevue.. 12.9 miles from norwalk to bellevue and 15.8 from sandusky to bellevue its 12.2 from norwalk to huron and 9.6 from sandusky to huron... either or,, cant go wrong with any of the three...
