Might be some SBC kids looking at going here. Malone dropped football today. Sad Unfortunately you will be seeing more of this in the future. I predict that there will be a number of smaller high schools to beginning dropping football. Just look at the numbers. There are a lot of teams with less than 25 players in the top 4 grades. This in itself makes the game more dangerous, since most freshman are not physically ready to play against the much bigger and stronger upperclassmen.

My daughter, a track recruit, got an email from the university this morning. A sad situation, but the university is restructuring and looking to save $1 million from this cut. So far, they say that no other sports will be affected.
They also moved up the vote so they could announce this decision before the Feb 6 national signing deadline. Sounds as if they are doing what they can to bring in other schools to talk to players interested in transferring. The university has said they will honor all football & merit scholarships for players who choose to stay at Malone and finish their education.
