The Shelby Whippets open up their inaugural football season in the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference by traveling across Richland County to Ram Field in Startek Stadium to take on their rival, the Madison Rams. Shelby won 48-8 last year. Thoughts on this one???

I haven't seen either team play but it would be hard for me to go against saying that Shelby will look really good until we realize Madison is looking at 0-10 this year if enough bounces go against their favor. Who do they beat? Their non-con has Shelby, River Valley, Bellevue, and Marion Harding. I could look to Mount Vernon and West Holmes to perform poorly, but I don't know who West Holmes lost.

Good opening week win but definitely some things to work on this week. Uncalled for giving up two onside kicks by Madison. Giving up big plays was something the coach was concerned about coming into this one. Fisher had a huge game both rushing and receiving. A lot of playmakers on the offense. Lex should be a good test next week.
