This will be the 3rd meeting between these two. Bellevue won 20-13 in 2018 and 50-9 in 2017.

Hilarious post game show with an interview with Redmen head coach Ed Nasonti. They asked him about these Toledo schools and how they might not want to be playing these teams in the Lake division much longer. Ed said teams like Clyde traveling down to Dayton us traveling to clear Fork and next year Cleveland will have to continue until some of the teams in the middle SBC division takes their skirts off and schedules teams like Clyde and the Redmen 😂😂😂😂 also mentioned how Bellevue and Port Clinton week one had both stands packed and how playing local can create more rivalries and he gave credit to Port Clinton having us on the schedule. got a love Ed he will tell it how it is.

He is surely not wrong. There are some amazing games that could have been crossover games this season, but instead, schools are driving anywhere from one to three hours for games instead of 20-30 minutes and doubling the draws.

If I said it once, I've said it a million times; Bellevue and Huron should be playing each other. Just a minute guys; I have SV holding for me on Line 2.

JV final: Bellevue 30 Huron 0. Why just the Bay League need to take their skirts off for Bellevue ? What about the River league skirts ? Margaretta & Monroeville are closer than Huron, Results would be the same. Esat Tech will be glad to come to Bellevue.

And I would assume they are referencing OH and Edison more than anyone and yes I am aware OH is Division 5. and yeah some of the river should be able to play the Bay..

I wonder what Bellevue would do to the likes of Lakota? Gibsonburg? Calvert? Hopewell Loudon? For nonleague Id love Bellevue to schedule to schedule these teams..Perrysburg, Genoa, BG, Sylvania Northview and Southview, Norwalk St Paul? Seneca East? St Johns? Tol CC, Anthony wayne.

If that quote that was posted is true, its hysterical and spot on for a few middle division teams.

What's one thing those 11 school's you mentioned have in common? They all play in 8 team conferences and are not available for non conference games in week freaking 5

^ A lot of posters seem to miss that🤔. The first 3 games are pretty easy to find. Weeks 4-5 on the other hand.
Of course both schools said no to Ross joining the SBC. That would have filled one more week for them.

Kritz, You're right that weeks 4 and 5 are harder to find than weeks 1-3.....but it's weeks 6-10 that are the absolute worst.
If you bump the Lake up to 7 teams by adding Ross alone, you then have 5 teams that have to deal with finding OOC games in weeks 6-10.
And those Bay schools that actually do want to play crossovers with the Lake in Weeks 4 and 5? Well now it's only possible for 2 of those games to even be played, with only one Lake school available in each of those 2 weeks.
I'd argue that it's actually easier to find two games in weeks 4 and 5 (especially with all 18 Lake, Bay and TCL teams looking for games at the same time) than it is to just find one game in weeks 6-10.

Now I would be open to the idea of adding Ross if there was an 8th school to go with them.
Or at least another school to add to the Bay to put both divisions at 7 and have the possibility of doing weekly crossovers to fill each others byes in weeks 4-10.

Of course both schools said no to Ross joining the SBC. That would have filled one more week for them. I think Lake schools should reconsider. But then, if Ross continues to get hammered (at home, esp) with backup QBs, they may not reconsider.

Lorain has no league commitment week 5. That's a winnable and competitive game for any lake school, and will also get D1 point values.

Huron 485 total Bellevue 674 total
Not a huge disparity
Any thoughts on Woodmore and Elmwood joining the SBC? Would that kick two teams up to the Lake?

Woodmore would be the only one with a remote possibility and since SMCC is presumably not going to have football then then they would fit right into that slot.
