Also starting for the Rockets is Mike Ebert at guard. The 6-6 300 pounder is a senior that played his high school ball at Perkins.

With the outstanding stable of running backs with the Rockets young Mr. Smith doesn't get many touches in games. Great kid and tough football player.

After 4 games, Cody Thompson leads the nation in yards per catch for Division One receivers. He is only averaging four catches per game. But, what he does after the catch is setting him apart from the other receivers.

The kids having a great year. I usually catch a couple Rocket games every year, but haven't had the opportunity this year. Obviously, he has good hands and knows what to do after he catches it. Does he have speed to play at the next level? He reminds me a lot of Dane Sanzenbacher.

Does he have speed to play at the next level? He reminds me a lot of Dane Sanzenbacher. I believe he has the speed to make it to the next level plus he has size. 6-2 208. Worrying about the next level may be a bit premature but it's sure fun to fantasize. Love to see him in the slot for Patriots.

After the Toledo win vs Ball State Cody Thompson has amassed 1126 yards on 56 receptions and 10 touchdowns.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the junior as a all-league receiver in the MAC this year.
He is on the ballot for the Blitnekoff Award for best receiver in the country. What an honor to be on the ballot for this prestigious award.

Just seen that Cody needs 25 yards in the bowl game to become Toledo's All Time Single season receiving leader.
Current leader: Lance Moore (2003) 1,194 yards
Cody curently has 1,170 yards
