Galion fumbles ball back to CF and this one is over. 31-21 is the final.

All I can say is it was a very disappointing evening. I wonder if Clear Fork looked past River Valley to this game and got upset last week. And I also wonder if Galion bought into the hype of how good they thought they were and the fact that Clear Fork lost to River Valley. I had a bad feeling from the moment the announcer mentioned them being undefeated during pregame and it got worse as the game went along. They just looked flat all night with the exception of late 3rd quarter and the first part of the 4th quarter. And then thy had a chance to win the darn thing and even had CF on a 1st and 30 on their own 19 and couldn’t stop them when it mattered most. Big time bummer but it is what it is. A tough road to hoe next week at Shelby but hoped they can regroup and give a better effort than tonight. This one hurts.

well i think galion has 2 toughies left, next week at shelby and week 10 at pleasant, but have 2 relatively easy games with games at ontario and kipp. they should finish 7-3 at least.whether they can get a home playoff game is in the air.the team galion has to worry aboutis ottawa glandorf.they nipped celina 24-23, they have shawnee next week and hapleess defiance in 2 weeks but they finish at kenton and home to wapakoneta. so i look for OG to leapfrog galion by the time season ends in region 14.

Second, be careful about confusing "flat" with tight. Anybody who was paying attention last week at Harding could see this coming a mile away. We tried to implode over there but Harding wasn't good enough to let us. We had 2 things working against us last night. First, we had the damn bonfire Thursday night. Anytime you screw with an athlete's routine it usually doesn't end well. Secondly, this is literally the first time these kids have played in a game of this magnitude with expectations for success in their lives. Last year when they took the field against CF we were just hoping for an outcome that didn't involve a running clock. CF came into this game playoff tested. They've been here before we haven't. We had to stub our toes a couple of times in '84 before we learned how to win against good competition. I expect them to play much looser next week at Shelby since the expectations will be much lower. Hopefully they can learn from this and use it in week 10.

So are schools not suppose to have bonfires, pep rallies, or any other events to show school spirit? Every school has those types of events and the kids get hyped up with it and they come out with a victory. If you going to say that maybe Galion shouldn't have painted the endzones. What I saw was a team who was all talk looked defeated all night because they were down. Anyways Clear Fork was a better team and now they are going to face a even better team and teams in the playoffs

You don’t screw with a kid’s routine the night before the biggest game he’s ever played in. That this would be a foreign concept to you doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. They also had a pep rally at the end of school Friday so what was the purpose of the bonfire?

When’s the last conference title that they had in football or basketball, the two major sports? Galion tried to be relevant this year and failed.

In fairness, Galion had made the Playoffs 5x in the last 10 years, so it's not like they're totally irrelevant.

Harding made the play-offs 5 times in a 10 year stretch. It was only 15 years ago.

I've seen many teams have bonfires on Thursday night and win games on Friday night. Did Galion have a Thursday bonfire before they played Harding? I've seen many teams rise to the occasion playing their first game of magnitude. I think Shelby is better than CF

The fans litterally started throwing trash and objects at the refs and Harding players including the Massillon players attacking Harding players it was crazy all because they thought they were going to win state with Justin Zwick...

As far as I see there is only one person touting Galion as a State Championship caliber team. And he appears to be a dumplike individual. OH? is Galion 100% 2 platooning this yea? That was probably the single biggest factor that led to the success. If memory serves they had like 70+ players on the 85 team. Take it back, the single most important factor? Their head coach became a successful college coach. Who’s touting them as a state championship caliber team? No one was doing that. Learn to comprehend what you’re reading!

Galion is the best team in DIV, they can beat any team in the state. They are way better than Cincinnati Wyoming who is the defending state champs. I have been to every game and Galion is strong at all aspects skills, line, and special teams. They will go all the way This would be the individual on THIS thread. Your issue is LAZINESS. READ entire threads before casting aspersions, making you look bad.

I figured you for someone smart enough to realize that the post was probably from a young kid or someone being facetious. I forgot on these sports forums, you can't have fun and joke. Shame on this poster.
