This may arrive as a total surprise, but I picked the Dodgers to win it all. I'm feeling homeristic.

Milwaukee and Washington were each making their first appearance in the WCG, and now 21 of the 30 MLB teams have played in the WCG since it debuted in 2012.
Oakland is now 0-3 in the WCG, and Tampa Bay is 2-0.

Yes, I'm second guessing, but I think Ryu should had the start last night over Kershaw.

Here's how the Twins seasons have ended every time they've made the payoffs in the wild card era:
2002: Lost ALCS to Angels (4-1) 2003: Lost ALDS to Yankees (3-1) 2004: Lost ALDS to Yankees (3-1) 2006: Lost ALDS to A's (3-0) 2009: Lost ALDS to Yankees (3-0) 2010: Lost ALDS to Yankees (3-0) 2017: Lost ALWC to Yankees (1-0)
look like they're on their way to making it 6 of 8 trips ended early by New York

Okay, if Dodgers lose this Series, Roberts needs to go.

3 of the 4 series are going 5 games. Last time that happened was 2015, and the last time all 4 series went 5 was 2012.

Joe Kelly about gave it away in Game 1, and certainly did tonight. But, to be fair, Kershaw set the tone for disaster.

Roberts set the tone. Why in the world would you bring Kershaw out of the pen in that sitation, given his postseason performances of the past?

I would rather see the Favorites win these playoff series, when the underdogs win it makes the regular season games seem meaningless. I would rather see the two best regular season teams in the NLCS than two teams that got hot at the right time.

I don't mind a little chaos in the postseason, but I won't be truly happy until the Yankees are out.

I'd like to see the Nationals win since douche Harper is gone i put $100 on the Nats to win it all before the post season started also parlayed them beating TB in a 3-team $50 side bet (Nats to win it all, TB to win the AL, Nats over TB in the WS)

This year will be the first time a league championship series is played in Washington DC. Should the Nats advance to the World Series it'll be the first one held in DC since 1933.
As for the franchise, it's their first time in the NLCS since the Expos lost to the Dodgers in 1981.
And the Astros have now already made it to the ALCS 3 times, which is only one fewer than their NLCS appearances.

I used to be able to say that the only two MLB teams that have never made it to the World Series were the two that play in places named after our first President.
