Now that Vargo is eligible for all 10 games this year. It'll be interesting to see if he can win the QB job away from the returning starter.
That being said it's a long way from the TAAC to the SBC.

Don't sleep on the Sprouse kid either...pretty sure he is a Jr. The Fliers should be able to well with either kid.

Clyde returns their starting QB in Nicely, it would take a LOT to take over the job, I would like to see Sprouse's speed as a wide out. Very athletic, but gonna be hard to take starting job. Vargo could work well in goal line situations and wrinkles in the offense.

Prediction Clyde (QB will not change from last year and always so deep) Port Clinton (Most talented skill positions but line could be issue) Perkins (Lost a lot from last year but still big and bad) Edison (Lost more skill than anybody but they have tasted enough success to move them above the others) Oak Harbor (Will play tough, but hard to find wins) Huron (Last year QB overachieved, don't think they will find a lot this year)

I heard the Sprouse kid is transferring. Too bad for Clyde, as Nicely would make for a better receiver.

SBC Boards are quiet. Any individual talent to be looking at they may be playing next level?

Ivy League?
In general, that's no small feat in the SBC, football or otherwise.

Ivy League? In general, that's no small feat in the SBC, football or otherwise. I guess I'll take on the role of Donnie Downer or Negative Ned and say the word "interest" and "looks" is used very loosely and typically everybody has high hopes and dreams for their teams players (which is a great thing). There is nothing wrong with this, but in reality probably 1 out 4 if that have an actual chance. I don't know any of the kids or their abilities and I could be completely wrong and hope i am, but if all 4 of these kids are FCS or D2 kids then PC (I am assuming thats where they are from) should be ready for a deep deep playoff (Regional Finals).

True story. It's tough to be a strong prospect on a team with no other talent tho, and PC had a good year last year, so there are expectations this year, and must be some talent around in general.

My hope is that they all stay healthy. We will see where the chips fall at the end of the year.
In fact. I wish all football players in the SBC a healthy year. Enjoy your season !

I don't know any of the kids or their abilities and I could be completely wrong I fixed your post to reflect what you actually know about the situation. Total number of kids I know who went to Ivy League schools from the SBC school I graduated from: Zero. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty who could have achieved it, but I never saw an educational culture that encouraged let alone facilitate those levels. It could've just been Clyde, though. And I don't say this to Poop on the education I received, in Clyde or at tOSU either. I frequently out-perform colleagues with more expensive and prestigious degrees. But I also realize there's a ton of value from having one of those schools listed on your resume. And there aren't a lot of people in North-Central Ohio who can and/or are willing to speak to that, and translate it throughout one's life. If this is less true than when I was in the SBC, or less true in other SBC schools, that's only good news. You know me well enough to know I didn't mean to be disparaging.
